Good Monday morning, Ya'll.

Today our DIL and the older grandson go back to school!!  DIL an aide at a DoD school.  The grandson a freshman at the local Community College.  I'm sure I'll be seeing the younger grandson for breakfast and some company later in the day.  He doesn't start back to high school until next Tuesday.

This will be a very nothing Monday.  Which isn't good for me. I'm gonna be forced to do some of the stuff I have been putting off.  Like scanning Mom's photos and putting them on CD's, and transferring TONS of her pictures etc from floppies to CDs.  Actually these are all things that should have been done YEARS ago when Daddy was still around.

All weekend I kept thinking I was eating WAY too much.  Got on the scale this AM and I am back down to 153. But when I actually think about what I ate it is LOTS less than I used to eat.  I guess my perspective has changed a lot.  I LOVE my band.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Morning George and all:
Today is my two year surgiversary.....hard to believe it's been 2 yrs already.  Altho' I am not down to the wt I would like to be, I am so much healthier now and that's what counts.  It's been worth it and yes I'd do it again in a heartbeat.  Thank you, Dr. Kemmeter.

It's raining here this morning and I need to go into work early - dang.
Tomorrow is ortho surgeon visit in K'zoo and he and I have a whole lot to talk about.

Have a good Monday,
Pat R.

My dear Pat, congratulations on the 2nd surgiversary! You have come a long way and so if you are still a work in progress that is alright. We should never get finished changing....

I have learned a lot from you and I am so blessed that you are in my life. Thanks for all the talks that we have had and the ones that are in the future too. I consider you a very dear and wonderful friend.

I am sending love and big old hugs to go with it...right along with all the prayers that are said for you too. Have a wonderful 3rd year, our sweet Pat.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Thanks Connie -- seems like only yesterday....

How's your hip coming along -- still doing exercises?

I see Ortho tomorrow - hoping I can stop doing the exercises, altho' they do make my leg feel better.

Hugs,
Pat R.

Hi Pat....I am still doing my exercises twice a day faithfully. I am also doing them in the pool at the gym every morning too....should be enough!!  I see my surgeon next week.....hope he ends the home exercises. I am working in as gyn now so maybe that will be enough to keep him satisfied.

I still have some pain but not much. If I sit for any length of time the hip is sore when I first start walking. I hope it doesn't stay that way!!

How are you doing???

Congrats, Pat! I remember your surgery ... I wanted to come to the hospital to meet you and never got there (although I don't remember why ... I did call you at the hospital but you were out of it).

Congrats Pat! Doesn't seem possible that it has been two years. You've done a great job. I too still have a ways to go. After a bit of a detour in the wrong direction I think I've got my head screwed on straight again. Seems like I just have to rock my boat once in a while and test the waters. I'm sure your surgery recovery has been much better than it would have been prior to WLS. Best wishes. Do something special for yourself today to celebrate. Wish we could celebrate with you in person!
