How could I have gained 3 pounds????  I know I'm having trouble getting in 700-900 calories a day, but I'm getting in at least 60 grams of protein a day.  I'm still having trouble trying to get in the 64 oz. too.
I'm pi$$ed.

I wouldn't be too concerned. Your body might be catching up to you. I always liked to go by how my clothes fit me (were pants getting looser, etc. ... although I also fell into the scale trap far too many times). The fact that you're having problems getting in the water might be a factor.

Jan...don't be so discouraged...you are hardly the only one this has happened to. Your body is adjusting.
Maybe you had too much salt yesterday???
However, it is very important to get the right amount of water in. Keep trying....you can do it!!!

I know, I'm not the first this happened to, but it is still shocking.  I did lose two of the three #'s today when I weighed, so I'm ok now.
Drinking lots again.

You hang in there! I was up one pound and that is when I wrote and said that my loss has appeared to stop. I had surgery 7/28. I noticed my weight fluctuates, and others have said to even stay away from the scale. SO, thats what I'm going to do. If I gain a pound I don't want to know it. I went shopping today and am down NEARLY 2 dress sizes! So I am thinking I will do better staying away from the scales. Give yourself a break...you deserve it!

I know I should stay away from the scale, but it's not in my make-up to do so.  I'm ok now and you're right, my pants are getting big on me and I've lost 3" off my waist and hips 15.5" in total, so it's working.  I need to exercise more.

Jan, I wouldn't be to worried about the gain. Your body is adjusting to itself now and you will see different changes. I think that most of us have had that happen too, and we all lived through it and so will you. In a short time it is going to be a distant memory and you won't even think about it when you go buy some new clothes that are a few sizes smaller than you are in now. Promise!!!!

Hi Jan,
Don't be pissed.........your body is just adjusting.  It does it all the time.  I anyone one of us weigh ourselves every day I'll bet we'll see little movement up and down on the scale.  I know for me today I "feel heavier".......I think it's water retention for me because I did not get as much water in yesterday or today as I normally do.  My fingers feel puffy and that's usually a sign I'm holding extra water.  I won't get on the scale until Saturday morning........normally if I weigh once a week I get a consistent weight.

So don't worry........hey tomorrow it might show you are down 5 lbs.  Just don't change all the good things you are doing..........try to drink a little extra water but don't cut back on anything.
