regarding the Effexor XR
You can take it but you don't get the extended release from it. I take regular stuff more often when they want to give me XR

I don't know what brenda is on, haven't been following the boards much anymore, once in awhile will pop in. But wanted to comment on the XR rx's.
It's too bad that the surgeons don't put that in their packets of info anymore...but, the PCP's should be following them also. When I had my surgery the surgeon was the surgeon and he followed up only on that, my medical needs had to be from my PCP, that's why we all had to educate our pcp's.
Sureons can sign you off at 7 years. That's all their obligation use to be for, not sure if it has changed any.
