TGIF-what's new revue
we were sposed to get major storms here yesterday-a teensy bit of rain and lots of windy breeze but nothing--and the ac in our bedroom has finally crapped out i think! after work, we laid down for a nap so we could stay up and watch the three hours of angels and there was only one hour of angels- bummer!!!! and i still fell asleep in michael's supercomfy recliner!shoulda never put the footrest up!!!! it's roxie's fault!!!!!
michael has his "independent evaluation" this afternoon for worker's comp--yea right! so i'll work til 1230 and come get him to go to that..a farce that works up the BP!!! this will probly start the ball for the end of wc for us...and it isn't something i was able to prepare for at all...but we knew someday it would come.
so-jan-long winded eh??? you haven't seen anything yet!!! many of the gals who don't post often are longer winded when they have something to say!!!! brenda and i can do it on a daily basis!! part of that is i use larger type so i can see!!!!--your walk sounde dlike it wa sprobly long enough in the heat if hubby picked you up!!!! don't forget to drink lotsa water--i know- i'm a nudge!!!!
we have krogers- i guess i should look for some carbmaster cuz those new flavors sound great!
sorry to hear a few folk have the creepy crud or the don't wanna get ups--i felt that yesterday and am hoping today is not a repeat....
my youngest is planning to come out sunday with his lil ones- and i'll load his car up with stuff to take home - lightens my load here but not the big things- he needs to borrow his dad's truck for that...i think we are back to plan b on the trip to hawaii- take large full suitcases and mail everything else to selves c/o general delivery!i'm thinking of contacting an auction house for a liquidation sale here-let them price and sell things!!!!

at work yesterday was veggie market day- so i said sure i would like some zucchini-thinking small 3/$1 --i got a bag of three hugamungous ones for $1--so i will be baking z bread this weekend!!!
jan c- reading about your garden and then this veggie market sponsored by the kids from the youth works program (part of our juvenile court) has made my brain hurt this year--i want so badly to "put up" the bounties-it is my nature to do so--but with our move i have to limit self to what i purchase and we are trying to "use up' everything.....it's a hard thing for me to deal with!

I spent two hours working out at the gym this morning...I was so tired out but definately tired in a good way.
Kyleigh (granddaughter) asked me to send her two new books. I went and bought them. I came home and boxed them up. I took them to the post office and mailed them. I then realized I got one of the books she already had...I got the names mixed up. Oh well... back to the store to buy another book. I will get it ready to mail a little later. She can save the duplicate for her sister or a friend or someone.
Nic (grandson) is doing okay. Tomorrow is the start of the painful treatments. He will be glad to go home next Wednesday!
Hope everyone has a terrific weekend. I have a lot planned with friends. It will be a busy time for sure!! Dwayne is in a golf tournament in the morning....hope he does well.

I couldn't sleep. I went to bed, got up, went back to bed, got up. I hate it when I cannot get at least four or five hours of sleep. Today will be bad.
It's almost over. I start back to work on Monday. While I taught summer school, it's not quiet the same as the long fall and spring semesters. I'm teaching every single day and taking one class.
The good news is that my fellowship pays a lump sum payment in the fall and spring for getting ready for school. The rest comes in monthly installments around the same time as my teaching pay. But, yeah. I get money to shop with. The fifty thousand dollar fellowship is one of the reasons that I dragging my feet on defending my diss. Yeah for free tax free money.
Okay, I'm making a list of things I really need and things I just want.

beautiful weather here yesterday after the 3 inch rain we got ....sure made weed pulling a lot easier .
Lol i didnt mean to be so long winded yesterday ...i get started about my flowers or garden and i forget that other people arent as fasinated by that stuff as i am ...i guess if i posted more i wouldnt go on and on ....
is suppose to be in the 70s again today and thru the weekend i think...wonderful days to work outside doing something . have several projects started so need to finish one of them , the deck and new steps to the guest house i believe are to be first. just have to go buy more lumber. have any of you priced lumber lately? it is outrageous....treated 2x4s are almost 5 dollars apiece t hat can get sort of pricey when you need a lot of them...
nothing much new other than that. today will just be more weed pulling and getting beds ready for fall cleanup soon.....a lot of flowers have already bit thedust. will be pulling them up along with the weeds or cutting them off which evera mums are all blooming really pretty this year. have started several new ones from cuttings. will keep them potted up for next spring planting.

Good morning to you, Margo and my OFF family. I am shocked, Margo, that you consider me long winded....how do you get that idea? 
Why you are the first one to ever say that to me...yeah right on that one!
Bill goes to the doctor this morning. So off the 3 of us go, trudging to yet another doctor. I am so sick of seeing doctor's that I could puke! Oh how I yearn for the days of just living life and going on each day doing what we want to do...they will come back but the question is when. Bill seems to be about the same as he was when he got out of the hospital. He has some pain but not as much as the shortness of breath. That concerns me but what concerns me the most is the workman's comp. I am just thinking that they are going to try to get out of it. I know that if they do I am seeking a lawyer...they will not get out of this one.
Kayden is coming this morning and instead of it being a short day today it is going into a longer one than normal. DIL's parents are coming into town and they have some things to do after DS gets off work and he asked if we could keep him until at least 6 tonight. Of course old us said yes...well...more like it is that I said yes. I just want to have him as much as I can. Who can blame me? Not me...but then again that is me. I never find fault with the things I do and say...ha ha
Kayden just loves his Grandpa so much...when Bill walks around the house Kayden's eyes are right on his every move. I don't think he does that with me...probably because he knows that if he needs something Grandma is the one to do it for him...I save his a$$ in other words. ha ha Tomorrow is going to be a short day for having him and then it is all day Sunday since he is going to be making the rounds with us.
It feels so cold around here to me. I don't know why but I am freezing. I am sitting here with my I Love Lucy blanket wrapped around me. I hate being cold and that happens all the time now. I thought being hot was bad...oh dear me to have those days back again. Now I know what Bill went through when I was having those infamous hot flashes that we all know and love...NOT!!! Bill is getting the hot flashes now. I keep telling him he is going through menopause and he just gives me a dirty look...I think it is the withdrawal from the nicotine personally but he is going in to his 7th week in a couple of days so that should be out of his system..but who knows..I know that I don't.
Well, I guess I should get to going. I don't have anything more to chat about now. Give me a few minutes and I will think of something though. I am sure of that. Most of the times I do that but just ignore saying it since I would have to add to my post and that is a hassle. So then by the time I post again the next day I forgot what I was going to add and then nothing gets said...and we all live through it too. Oh well, Chatty Cathy is going now.
Speaking of Chatty Cathy..how many had one of those dolls? I had one and made that thing talk so much that she just ended up growling instead of talking...she would just say "Gggrrrrrrr" when I pull the string.

Edit...I know what you are saying about the bigger font, Margo, since that is why I use it too...I need to be able to see it since I am almost blind in one eye and the other one isn't to good either. Lazy eye don't ya know...oh how I hated using that patch every night and now to learn it was for nothing!

i had a chatty cathy--i adored her-mine talked very nicely!! i remember the Christmas i got her !!!!!!!!! my dad was still "at home" with us!

My Mom and Dad always said that I never talked other than just in single words until I was 3 years old and that I had never shut up...and I can sadly report that I do think they were correct on that one. As we know now..most of the time parents are right...much to our disdain when we are younger!!!!
I don't remember the year I got my Chatty Cathy...she started out talking nicely and then she died a slow and somewhat painful death with the talking.
