OT: Getting rid of all the bigger clothing

Hi All,
I'm emptying out my closets.......getting rid of the rest of my clothing that no longer fits (too big).
Does anyone know of any reputable organizations I can donate them to?
Some of these dresses and suits are REALLY REALLY nice, perfect for the office.  I also have lots of casual outfits, jeans, tops, sweaters, etc.  Even brand new pantyhose and bras still in their pkgs or out the pkg but never worn!
I don't want to throw them in a bin to have them shredded for rags.  I want someone to use them.

All input is welcome.

Thanks!

PS- Also have a bunch of men's clothing, slacks, shirts, tops, suits, etc...

See if there is a dress for success in your area if you have professional clothes.  Or if you are near a VA hospital see if they have a clothes closet.  Our outpatient clinic here in Orlando has one.

We have a Woman's Resource Center where people can go and get work clothing at reduced prices.  Similar to the Dress for Success Group.  You could call your Chamber of Commerce or City Hall and maybe the clerk could guide you to some worth while group.

It is what it is.

If you have a women's shelter in your area, take them there.  Many of those women leave their homes with nothing.  Plus, what they don't use, they can sell and make money for the shelter.  I donate my grands clothes there all the time.

I donate to many charities in my area, spreading the wealth so to speak.
In Canada a short list is found here

Just a note to those who stay in hotels a lot, local shelters are always looking for the shampoo, lotion and soaps to give out so I often drop off boxes of this stuff since my DH is a frequent traveller.
