good morning all my OFF friends

i hope you are all having a wonderful sunday.

i just need to post this morning, because i need to try and take a deep breath
and i guess laugh a bit at how life kinda does what it wants, and not always
according to plan

so anyway, we have been planning a small party for months for my mom who
turned 90 on Friday.  what an achievment that is!!!

so we were worrying would she be in good health (she has a history of getting
sick in August).  we pondered if my son from North Carolina would be able to
fly in on time for the party, because he was doing photography work at a conference.

we spend hours figuring if my cousin, would be able to get to the party, she has
major mobility issues.

my sister and mom worried that i would be hobbling around well enough to
hold up my end of the arrangements, (which i am)

soooooooooooo, long story short,  the only one we figured on, steady as a
rock, my sister.  well, she ended up in the hospital yesterday.  they think she
has colitis, but of course now that they have her, they want to test her to death before
making a final diagnosis.  so the poor kid is missing the party today, and also
her hubby of course.

its really hard planning life, isnt it.  i guess you have to laugh and move on.

ill have plenty of birthday cake  left, and sheesh i wont be able to even eat
that, go figure.  ill leave it with mom for her friends in the assisted living. she
can bring it down to dinner tomorrow.

love ya all, be safe and well, jacki

Jacki,
Sometimes you just have to laugh or sit down and cry. Crying causes wrinkles.

Happy Birthday to your Mom. WOW - 90 years old. You are fortunate to still have her.

Hijack!    How true about the crying causing wringkles.... However, have you ever heard that
"the more you cry, the less you pee"?    So see, crying does have it's advantages!

Jacki, life seem to somehow take our plans and throw them in the garbage. We have to go with the flow I guess.

Tell your Mom Happy Birthday. Wow, that is sure an accomplishment and I am so happy that you still have her in your life.

Like Annette said, it is better to laugh than to cry. We have enough things to cry about.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Never fails to amaze me how things happen right when we don't want them to happen. Well, hope your mom's friend enjoy the birthday cake.

32 years from today I'll be 90...like that's going to happen.  Glad you've still got your Mom around.  It's tough when they leave us.

are you sure we aren't related??????????????

hoping the day went well in spite of things and so glad to know that you could share it with your mom!
hugs!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
