Good Morning,  I'm taking this opportunity to get us started and to wish Linda a speedy recocovey from her knee surgery today.  Hope this day is productive and peaceful for all.

I'm back on my game after being a little lost this weekend.  Walking at 10AM, a few chores on the list and waitng to hear how my attorney's letter flies with my former employer.

Yesterday I ate
B coffee/Kashi/yogurt
s egg and sausage
L leftover spaghetti with turkey meatballs
D calamari and SF fudge cycle
s spaghetti/olive oil/parmesan

Not the best menu I know but not my worst either.  I did forgo the bourbon/water with my calamari at the local pub.  Celebrating small achievements,  CV Linda

Hi!
Geez, I didn't realize Linda was having surgery today......I feel terrible I didn't wish her well.  See being gone for just a couple days and I miss important stuff.  My bad!

Hope you are recovering well Linda!!

My menu for today

S- Protein Powder
B- Oatmeal
L- Chicken and cabbage fajita
S- Fiber One cereal, 1/2 peach
S- Almonds and protein powder
D- Fillet Mignon, broccoli, some red bean salad
S- Fruit (probably a mix of blueberries, grapes, cherries)

Must say I'm feeling a bit hunger today.....might be because I cut calories a little over the past 2 days and because I had an extra good bike ride this morning.  Better go drink some water or green tea before I start to snack before lunch.

Thanks, Linda for starting this thread.

I offered to start the threads for her - I don't ordinarily wake up really early, though.  But I can start the thread tomorrow!

I surely wish Linda the very best

Today I had oral surgery and have had no appetite.
I took 2 vicodan and now my mouth does not hurt but my stomach does!

All I have had to eat today is popsicles.

Hi Jeane,
Here's to the worst of your oral surgery being over.  Popsicles and vicodan?  Sounds like a good day to me.   Hope your tummy is smiling by the time you start the thread tomorrow.  Perhaps Linda S. will be checking in with her own vicodan vocals before too long.

Hi Ruth,  I'm back from my walk with the dog now and we're both panting.  Feeling hungry myself.  Only had coffee and a protein cappachino drink with half a banana.  But it is 11:30 already so I think I can make it til lunchtime.  Your menu sounds great.  YUM!

Good afternoon, Linda and thanks for starting the thread for us. I am keeping our Linda in prayers for her surgery today. I know that she will do well. It is the rehab that is going to be so hard for her...you can't keep her down for long!

Food yesterday was alright..at least for what I can remember. Duh! I suffer from CRS just like a lot of others and then I just forget....such is life I guess.

B: nothing
L: chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans
D: I had something but for the life of me I can't remember what!
S: nothing

My day is going pretty good today. I am hoping to get something done around here but so far not much is. I have a meeting at the church tonight so there goes my evening. At least the people on my committee doesn't like long meetings just like me. So that is good!

Have a great day and know that I am sending love and hugs to you....

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Brenda.  I have some CRS myself.  Sometimes I think about going back to writing down what I eat but I like the challenge.    Hang in there, girlfriend and love and hugs right back atcha.

Hi Linda in for the other Linda!

Yes, I'm wishing Linda the best on her surgery today. She's a very special lady, for sure!

. I've lost that pesky 2# that's been worrying me, so let's see if I can keep on the right track now. The Dove dark chocolate has been out of my life for three weeks now and I'm feeling much better about that. It still isn't easy to see them at the check out counter, but I look at the crazy headlines on the National Enquirer instead. At least it provides humor instead of calories..LOL

Here's my day.

b-  cottage cheese, cantaloupe and toast

SF NF lattes x 2

banana

protein drink

L-  Orowheat sandwich thin (if you haven't tried these, they're great! Like a 1/4 inch thick hamburger bun, but healthier) with 3 slices peppered turkey and 2% swiss cheese. Baxter helped me fini****

D-  baked chicken breast, Cuban beans and rice, seasoned green beans

That's only 1,000 cals, so I'll have to get in another 400 somewhere. Probably another latte, maybe a Benefit high fiber bar. HMMM, maybe some watermelon, too

Everyone have a great day

Susan

Hey Ruth,

I upped my protein to over 100 grams a day and lowered my carbs to under 100 grams a day. Took longer to lose it this time, but it came off. That's all that matters, right?
