Slow and steady wins the race (according to my mom).......
Thanks for the tip.  I think I need to keep an eye on my carbs....may need to lower them a tad.

Susan,  I think I found those two pounds you lost.  I'm getting rid of them though because I know you don't want them back.  Who knew that the National Enquirer could be good for our health?
Your menu sounds great.  Think I'll have cantaloupe and cottage cheese for lunch.

No, thanks just the same, I do NOT want them back. LOL..

I love fruit with my cottage cheese, and Janet turned me onto mixing yogurt into it. It's very yummy and filling, too!  Lots of protein

I am joining you in wishing the very best for Linda!  She is in my prayers as well...

Today is my hubby's birthday so I am cooking up a storm.  I just ate two slices of weigh****chers american cheese for breakfast because I don't eat anymore when I am cooking.  I have a Pillsbury half sugar cake in the oven.  Still bad for me but less bad than the old days. Then I am making him chicken cutlet parmesan with spaghetti.  The spaghetti will be Dreamfields so I can have a little without dumping.

Well I cleaned the whole apartment, vacuumed and dusted but I will have to clean the kitchen again when I am all done.  My son-in-law is coming for dinner with us.  My daughter is in Georgia visiting her best friend for the week. After dinner our "son" is going to hang all of my curtain rods for me in the new apartment. Yeah!  That an hanging pictures and I will be all done and happy!  I hope that everyone has a great day today!

Marcia,  You are on an inspirational roll, girl.  I know you will enjoy the birthday party with the righteous contentment of a job well done.

Linda,

Thanks for doing this thread.

I spent 10 days on vacation in Seattle, got home last Monday night, and I'm still trying to get back into my groove, not just in terms of eating but also exercise, household chores, pet care, and writing.  I went to visit my mother in the nursing home yesterday and she cried most of the time, which was hard on both of us.  I go away for 2 weeks and to her it feels like 2 years.

B: cottage cheese with plain yogurt, Splenda, blueberries & raspberries (this is my new favorite breakfast)
S: iced skinny latte
L: spinach salad with chickpeas, lite spam (all I could find in the cupboard), and yogurt dressing
S: apple with PB2 dip
D: flounder, pasta salad with lots of veggies in it
S: frozen cherries
