Anyone using the Magic Bullet?  Will I need this after surgery? I don't have a blender right now - got rid of the old one years ago 'cause I didn't use it?

I threw mine away, I didn't like it.

I got rid of mine too.    It was just one more thing cluttering up the counter & lots of extra pieces being stored in alreay-full cabinets.    I don't do shakes often, but when I do, I put them in a rubbermaid-type container & shake like crazy.  It's good exercise!    I use protein supplements that are already premixed,   but when I bought the bullet I was still trying all the powdered protein & trying out the home-made shakes (which I didn't like).    I know some people love the magic bullet!!!

I bought a small blender - about 16 oz for about $17 via Amazon.com.  I think it's made by Hamilton Beach.  You can search on Amazon.com.  They sell everything now.

I think I even got in on their $25 free shipping deal because I ordered a
book or something to get to the $25.  It's just fine for protein shakes - you can even take it
with you to work as it has a sealable lid with a sipper hole with a seal on that too!

It really can't do much else than liquids - I dont use ice - I dont think it would be powerful enough to shred but you can try.

I use GNC Whey chocolate protein with skimmed milk - about 200 cals and 30 ish grams protein good way to start my day.  It tastes fine with the skimmed milk, but not with water.

Good luck!

I love my magic bullet but I use it more for making flour from high fiber cereals and oats than anything else. My protein shake mix dissolves easily and completely shaking it in a pint mayonnaise jar. I'm now putting my calcium crystals first in a bit of warm water then adding my Champion Pure Whey Chocolate and shaking "like crazy" like Jan says. Keep hoping it will firm up the batwings!! If you didn't use the blender you probably won't be a big bullet user either.

Calcium crystals?  Please let me know about them.  Citrate?  Where to buy, etc.
Thanks.

Bought mine from Vitalady.com: Bariatrics Advantage Calcium Crystals with Vitamin D. Citrate and unflavored for me. I just mix it in a bit of warm water and then add my protein powder. Shake, shake, shake and then pour over crushed ice. A lot fewer pills to swallow and it gets in two shakes a day which makes for 60 grams of protein not counting other protein that I ingest during the day.

Karen, I wish anything would take away the batwings but the only thing is plastic surgery and at this point I guess i need to rob a bank. Have had alot of plastics but not that yet----------------

Never had one, but I just use a blender and it does just fine. I bought a Magic Bullet-like thing from QVC's line of Cook's Essentials ... didn't mix up the protein powder at all ... left a lot of lumps and I was really unhappy with it so I sent it back and used my blender, which did a much better job. I've also used the shaker thingies and they work not too bad with most protein powders, but I prefer my blender, because I like my drinks cold, so I add ice.
