Well good (very early) morning....   I woke up and can't get back to sleep yet so thought I"d start the thread for today.

b:  egg with cheese (later)
s:  popsicles
l:  cheese stick

I will try to eat a little less of meat, and see if that helps.

I hope everyone is doing well this morning...

Good morning to you, Jeane and thanks for starting the thread while Linda is gone from us.

Food yesterday was alright. Not so good on the protein but at least the food got down and I didn't get sick to my stomach so that is good.
B: 1 toast with ICINB
L: sandwich with turkey and cheese and onion
D: pancakes
S: nothing

I usually can't stand pancakes but for some reason I had a yearning for them. I started thinking of them in the urologists office and couldn't get them out of my mind. I told Bill and he said alright let's have them and the chicken tomorrow. He usually doesn't care for them either but ended up eating a bunch of them...2 big plates of them in fact. That surprised me.

Nothing much going on today other than having Kayden. I hope he is in as good of a mood as he was yesterday. Let's keep our fingers crossed for that! It makes the day go much better that is for sure.

Have a great day and I am sending love and hugs to all.

Morning Jeane, hope you're doing better as the day goes on. These are tricky times on your journey, finding what works for you and what doesn't. Unfortunately, it's all by trial and error. Bummer the errors are usually uncomfortable.

Yesterday I was plain hungry. Don't know why, and I still didn't quite reach my 1400 cals, but I wanted to eat. Good thing there weren't too many munchies around the salon, they usually grab me when I feel that way.

2 lattes--SF, FF

bkfst burrito on ww tortilla

latte

3/4 Benefit high fiber bar

Ka****urkey fiesta sandwich

carb master yogurt w/ cottage cheese

PB&J

applesauce

Jeane,

Good morning (almost afternoon where I am)!

I did really well with food yesterday until about 9 pm, when I was tired and feeling sorry for myself (I've been having a lot of back pain & sciatica pain).  So I went carb scavenging in the kitchen: a little of this, a little of that, for two hours.  Woke up with a bad headache this morning (gone by now) and am feeling more cheerful now.  This afternoon I have my first appt. with an acupuncturist who says he's had success treating sciatica.  I'm not sure I understand how acupuncture is supposed to work, but I have a lot of respect for Oriental medicine and I'm willing to try just about anything at this point.

Today's food plan is:

B: cottage cheese & yogurt with blueberries & raspberries
S: Pure protein bar
L: sesame shrimp, melon/tomato/cucumber/goat cheese salad
S: apple with PB2 dip
D: lemon chicken, farro salad
S: frozen cherries

B: banana

L: alpine chicken sammy from quiznos, but didn't eat the bread part

S: banana

D: Shrimp.

My ulcer is bothering me and I'm having trouble eating.  Plus, I don't have much time during the day and I don't want to become an evening eater.  I am going to rethink my days to get my food in between classes and conferencing.

Hello, everyone!
I stayed home today...it's hot and humid but I got the vacuuming done on four levels..whew! Katie and LilyRose have come back out of hiding..they hate the vacuum cleaner.  Derek and JB are next door at the shop working on rebuilding one of Derek's dumptrucks for the winter season of plowing snow.

Studying my next textbook now..wow, the type is SMALL!

B    KashiGoLEAN cereal w/ blackberries from my garden & skim milk         (I'm out of my Matrix hot chocolate protein drink..I've ordered two five pound bags again and they are on their way...soon I hope!)

S    cheese & a small piece of turkey kolbassa

L     homemade beef & veg& barley soup

S     banana ( I have to get in extra potassium)

D    roasted garlic chicken and spinach

S     possibly Skinny Cow fudgicle                                                                   (Derek brought them home last night as a surprise treat for me)

Drinking lots of water & always taking my supplements each day.

 Hot and humid in Canada??
wow   you should be in South Florida

I am drinking a protein shake as I write..  just got back from a support group meeting of my surgical groups but tonight was a bit different.  They had food & drink samples - recipes from Bariatric Eating and some sample drinks.

I love the powder drinks - inspire & Matrix.  The bottled cappucino "Believe" is excellent.
The isopure and similar bottled drinks I can't stand.  Yich.

The nutritionist & chef (?) from the hospital cooked 3 recipes - of various snacks.   The recipes are on the BE website.   The chef overdid it on the cayenne pepper on one and it sure woke me up!

I do like the women I have met at Bariatric Eating (they are all women).   They have been through WLS and Teresa, especially, just cracks me up.  I love her personality.
