WLS and emotions/hormones
Howdy all:
I have a few questions about wls and emotions/hormones. I undrstand that hormones are stored in fat cells and released once weight starts dropping. Now with that said.I currently take zoloft for depression/anxiety and I am preop. Does this mean that once I have the surgery I will need a stronger dose to keep from being a basket case? if is it possible that after the surgery that I may be able to come off of the meds? I still have moments that I have panic attacks,or cry for no known reason. I am trying to be prepared and to prepare my bf for what may be comming down the road.
Comments/opinions are welcome

I've been on anti-depressants for several years. After surgery my dosage was lowered but I will always need the help from them.
I'm sure that each individual will react differently and keeping in touch with your Dr. is the best advice. We are here as a sounding board for you but we are not the professionals.
Best wishes.... when is your surgery?
