Everyone has different experiences with rice and pasta ... me, I never had problems, but I stick to brown rice and whole wheat pasta. But I chew the hell of them, too. I also waited until my nutritionist said I could have them (I think it was at three months out). And then it was very small portions, too. Some people never tolerate them.

morning! i slept til 830---dunno why--maybe i was tired??haha-has been a horrid week for sleep and i even napped after work last nite-semi slept thru a thunder storm..

anyhow- i'm up-need a shower and more coffee and to get self moving for the day-lots to do that should have been done all week- piddly things-and tomorrow we will be gone most of the day -so need to get ready for that-i'll come back later when maybe i'll make more sense!

have read as far  as candy's post so i got a good start on the weekend!!!!!

My husband is Polish, on his dad's side, and he traced his relatives back to Poland.
We found someone who spoke Polish and helped with translating some of the documents.

It has been weeks since I felt well enough to visit the M&M's. They tackled me to the floor and covered me with kisses.

Miss Melanie examined me from head to toe. Earrings, eyeshadow, color of my undies, hair. etc. - she needed to see if there were any changes.

M&M checked my 'wobblies' - neck, arms, face. Then they wanted to see the wobblies on my legs so we laid on the floor, legs in the air and checked them out. Lots of giggling and tickles with that inspection.

They wailed when I left. I looked like I had been in a brawl except for the smile on my face. Slept very well last night. They are the best sleeping pills.

What a wonderful picture you painted of you and your grands!  I laughed right out loud picturing you on the floor with legs in the air!  Glad you're feeling well enough again to enjoy them.

Good morning Carla and all you others out there!

Stopping by on a Saturday morning. Not something I often do.  I pretty much normally stay away until Sunday night.

Not much going on here.  Boring baseball alert:  Last night my Rangers disappointed me.  They gave up 3 runs in the first inning and nothing more.  In the ninth they had runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 out.  Chris Davis was  up.  He was sent to the minors last month because he struck out too much.  Well, last night he held back on swinging at a pitch he would have swung at in the past.  The ump called it a strike.  It was so bad, there was a comment in the Minnesota newspaper about how bad the game ending call was.  And their team won!

Back to normal business:  Working 'til 1PM here.  Then gotta run to the store and get some cheese among other things.  Then a quick nap.  Gotta stop by my son's house to pick up a couple of things and check out his new dogs.  At 6:30 our church is having another Gospel concert.  Then I have to be to primary job at 11PM for some overtime.

That's about it for me  now.  Will try to stop by tonight from work.

I'm up and getting ready to hit the carlots.  We are still looking, still deciding.  I don't want payments, so we are pretty clear on the price range. 

Last night, I had friends over and fed them taco salad and various dips.  We partied until around tenish and then everyone but two started leaving.  The two guys stayed and stayed and finally, the one said, we'll I need to get home.  I was so happy to hear those words.  Yes. 

The last of my poison ivy has faded and unless you are really looking, you cannot tell that I was covered.  I have two places on my leg where it was really bad, and I may have scratched a little to hard because there are scars.  I'm just happy they are gone.

Today, after car shopping, I am getting my weeks lecture notes typed up.  I have a student who has a learning disability and needs lecture notes, so I'm hooking her up.

Here it is Saturday already and I am saying hello to Carla and my OFFer's. It is hard to believe that another week is gone and soon another one starts. The weeks just keep ticking by faster and faster.

It is so peaceful here this morning with no Grandson here. I miss him though. I love having "Kayden love time" as I call it. I miss his smiles and his "chattering" too. Oh heck...I miss him! But it is nice just being the 3 of us. Misty is happy too. She pretty much stays hid while Kayden is here but every once in a while she comes out and looks around. She seems to know that he can't get to her because she ventures up to him closer than usual. It is funny watching her with Kayden. But he is use to a kitty since they have a kitty and a dog too.

Nothing much is going on here today. I think that we might try to do some tossing of things today...depends on how we feel. It seems to me that the more I toss the more stuff there is to toss. Do any of you have the same problem? I am hoping the swing and the bouncy seat goes to the storage today. I want them out. The pack and play will come back in their place though. But still 2 for 1 is a good thing. I still have some things in the bedroom that needs to be gone through and tossed or saved. I think there is a lot of cook books that were Mom's and I won't get rid of them at all. No way no how! Most of them date back to the 40's and 50's and I love reading them. Yes...I read cook books. I know...I need a life!

It is overcast and cool here today. I better get use to it like that since it is the way it is going to be for a while here. I think it is going to do this for almost the whole coming week. At least there is no air conditioner on here. I hate living in fake air. I want the fresh stuff that is made from Mother Nature. I have the sliding door open some but no windows. Bill is constantly hot now....I tell him that he is in menopause. Now he knows what it felt like for me.

I better go. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone too. Don't forget to smile and bring joy and happiness to others. It will bring more joy and happiness to you too.

Hi Brenda, - I love reading cook books.....I'm glad you said that because my sis called me the other nite and wondered if I had Mom's recipe for cooked cabbage......gotta go check out her cookbook and see if it's in there.

morning carla and OFF...well it is really cool here today...nice breeze blowing too...went to lowes for a piece of lumber so rick could make a stand for his can crusher we bought last night for $5...found out we had ants under kitchen sink and also in bandits food dish!!! grrrr so in a few minutes i will be helping rick take things out from under sink and spraying there for the ants!!! then i am off to work til 9 pm. had some tornado warnings out for the surrounding areas last night and all we had was some rain here...hope everyone was ok...saw some damages but not really bad. got the papers in the mail on my car loan..payments are for $115.00 a month!!! cheaper than what i was told over the phone so that makes me very happy...atleast i will have money for the repairs it needs...haha like that will cover whats wrong...not!! oh well atleast it is some money saved for the repairs.

well rick is calling so off i must go...have a great day and maybe i will be back tomorrow...hahahahaaa SMILE!!! ;-)
