Well yesterday for dinner I had chicken caesar salad and for a snack a protein shake.

It's actually 12:51 AM Sat morning and I am having a snack of peanut butter and sf jam.

What's eating me?   Tiff with daughter; thinking about Ted Kennedy and the passing of a generation I admired..

A bit maudlin tonight/this morning.

How are all of you?

Hi everyone,

Today I am going back to my protein shakes.  I tried to get in all my protein with food like the doctor wanted and gained two pounds in two days.   Unbelievable.   I am measuring four ounces.  I don't know what happened.  Maybe it is water weight from the canned chicken I ate with lite mayo.  What ever it is , it has to come back off.

So this morning, I am going to drink a shake for breakfast.

Chicken and mayo for lunch

don't know what for dinner yet and probably a shake for a snack.

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

S- tomatoes and 1 oz cheddar
L- 2 oz chicken, 1 T mayo, 1 slice diet bread, sliced tomatoes
S- ?
D- not sure yet but Ill be careful,,almost back in my clothes and I aint messin that up!
Have a great weekend all

I think the pre-colonoscopy is worse than the colonoscopy.

Congrats on the weight loss!   (I will refrain from the connection with the colonoscopy)

Top of the morning to you, Jeane and thanks for starting us off. I know that I appreciate it and I am sure that the others do too.

Food yesterday was alright...nothing more or less. I am not getting the protein like I should. I wish that I could do the shakes but I just can't. I can't stomach them at all. I know that they would be a answer but not for me I guess.

Yesterdays food was:
B: nothing..the morning got away from me
L: chicken breast and cheese
D: hamburger patty with cheese and onion
S: yep...pretzel sticks again! I am hooked on them for sure!

Nothing much going on here. I am going through Kayden withdrawal today. I am missing my "Kayden love time" which is what I call it when I hold him and love on him. I always tell him that Grandma needs her Kayden love time. He laughs just like he understands me...and who knows..maybe he does.

Have a great day and I am sending love and hugs to you and to all!

Hi Brenda,

Saw your post and thought I would let you know about Whey Up protein drink.  I cannot handle the milk and protein powder shakes either but I love these premixed drinks.  There are three flavors, citrus, wild berry and grape.  I really like all of them but grape is a bit more sweet.  There is 20 grams protein per 16 oz of drink with 90 calories.  They are sooo good cold or over ice.  I purchase them at Bariatric eating.com or  GNC.com, whichever is cheaper but GNC does not carry the grape.  Give them a try, I hope you will like them too.  Sharon

Howdy folks,

All is well here.  I'm back on the protein track after a couple of days with spaghetti leftovers and other carbs that didn't feel good on the tummy.  Got a haircut yesterday and stocked up at the supermarket.  Canned beans, onions and tomatos on sale to combine with last weeks sale on hamburger for some mighty fine chili makings.  Getting ready to visit family in Oregon next week.  The dog and I will make our nine hour drive on Tuesday.  So I need to get an oil change between now and then.

B sausage and an egg
s baby carrots with TJs spicy black bean dip
L McDonalds small hamburger & most of bun
s handful of jelly bellys
D small steak and a WW ice cream bar

Toodles, CV Linda
