Hello,my lovelies. Today was a good day,I slept a lot. I started chastising myself for that, then I thought about, and reminded myself I was just coming up on a week after surgery. It is as though I have a voice in my head that will not allow me to be happy. As soon as I got the award letter,I started looking for loop holes, which isn't a bad idea, but dayum,I can let myself exhale....LOL. I am making a concious effort to be happy....just for today...smile.
Food was better,I ate noodles, and was happy for them as I have not been able to eat,I had 1/4 cup of red beans and a soy shake.
I hope your day is great!

Good morning to you, our sweet Linda. I hope that each day brings better health to you.

Food yesterday was alright. Nothing great and nothing bad. I enjoyed lunch since we went out. It was a busy day yesterday and I got so tired..I still am tired but just can't sleep. I hate it when that happens. It was a very long day for me. I know that it is going to take me a few days to get caught up with the rest...especially with Kayden coming all the time during the week. But I wouldn't trade that for the world.

Yesterday's food was:
B: a piece of fruit
L: chicken with a bit of mashed potatoes and gravy
D: nothing..I fell asleep before I could eat

I must be normal now if I can fall asleep before eating...gosh I never thought that would happen. ha ha

I am going...I am going to try to get some more sleep before having to get up for Kayden. Sometimes I feel like I am to old to be babysitting...then I think that it is time I get to spend with my grandson and I forget that idea! He is getting more and more precious every day. He is cooing and smiling and laughing and "talking". I just couldn't miss these times in his life for anything.

Have a great day and know that I am sending love and hugs to you, dear one. Prayers are being said for you and yours too. Don't forget to smile..they bring happiness and we all need more of that in our lives...we never have enough of happiness.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda,
I have to chuckle at your comments.  Our grandkids can sure drain our energy.  Friday I had my youngest  3 1/2  yr old.  He can't understand why Great gramma can't get down on the floor to play cars with him.  Mom tries but it is hard on her knees.  I get down but ache and find every weak joint in my body.

Nolan keeps me worn out but yet young at heart.  I never thought the John Deere dealership could be so much fun !  Or see so many bugs under a rock, or find so much to do with a sink of water..... lol   He spent the night with us on Friday.  I didn't realize how such a little body could take over a large bed....

Ahh but it is worth every minute.  And it gave mom a chance to have time to herself.  ENJOY..  they grow up too dang fast.

Your menu looks yummo,I am so happy just to know I will be able to eat today.
Well, you have a great day,and think of Mary Poppins!
Hugs and blessings.

Jeannie, why can't we be in charge of EVERYTHING???
Your food looks pretty good, could it be a head thing??
Ahhhhh left overs...I remember when there was no such thing here...now I have to make sure I give it to grands or eat it,as I am still shameful of wasted food.
Enjoy your day,sweet lady.

Linda,
Thanks for being YOU!  I am going to follow your example and try to be Sunshinetoday.

My baby cat Tony goes bonkers for cantalope and he adores yogurt. The little guy was all over me when I opened cantalope yogurt. On my lap, on my shoulders, trying to get a taste. I gave up and put the container down for him. He ate it all, even stuck his paws inside to get the last morsel. Next time I will open two containers - one for each of us.

Many kisses

I made the crust from cauliflower..........not sure it would work with broccoli, but it sure would be tasty on top.
If you have a recipe for broccoli crust let me know...
Thanks!
