What's New Sunday -
Good morning,
I been playing Bejeweled Blitz (my new addiction) and thought I'd check out the board to see if anyone posted the thread for today, the usual suspects must be busy doing other things, so here I am. . .
I had a fun day playing horsey, tickle moster, losing at Candyland, hide n seek and giving lunch, naptime and watching cartoons with the grands and then their Mom and Dad came home, boo hoo, my son pissed me off and it was time to go. . . so I came home, cooked dinner, tried to eat it, but it was not really a good time to eat, went to my AA meeting, Friendly's afterwards with the women from the meeting and home, where it has been storming outside the last two hours, my basement is wet, what else is new in bad rain storms and I've got a leak that they supposedly fixed, but NOT, so they will be going in the walls this week to find out what the problem is, oh well, things could be worse, but I won't invite trouble. . .
Going to bed now and when I wake up, Tony will be coming down to spend the day and hopefully it will be a better day then the end of this one has been. . . life happens and sometimes spoils what would be a perfect plan. . .
Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Nothing going on here. I was just doing stupid quiz's on Facebook. It is a way to waste time. They can be interesting and then some are just down right stupid. But....like I said...it is something to do.
Bill is sleeping in his recliner. You know...I never thought that I would be married to a man who wears his pants under his stomach and who is losing his hair. He is losing it so bad he just shaves it off now. He did that tonight. I guess things change when time takes it's toll. I am no raving beauty either. But you know what...he is faithful and kind (most of the time) and he is good to me. He has stuck by me with a lot of health problems and I am sure there are some out there that wouldn't still be here. So..who cares where he wears his pants and if he has hair or not. I am not sure what got me started on this one.
Tomorrow...err...today is church and then at 2 I do the nursing home service. Our church does the service there on the 5th Sunday of the month. I was suppose to do it the last 5th Sunday but with the problems that I have been having I didn't do it. I told her I would do the next one and here it is. I am going to do it on being thankful. Most of the service is just singing since they like to do that. That is good with me. It doesn't last long so it will be short and sweet. I don't think that it would be worth us coming home from church and then going back to Chesterton so I think that Bill and I will just go somewhere for lunch. That way we don't have to make a double trip. At church we greet before the service starts so it gives us something to do.
I got rid of 4 boxes today that Bill took to the storage. It is that much that we don't have to pack before we move. It cleared a lot of room out of the bedroom. Now we have a lot more room...I just can't find something to take that room up. Bill would kill me if I did that. Heck I would let him if I did it. That is a BIG no no! We got to thinking that it would be easier to pack the things that we aren't using and store it before we go. We are both anxious to get to the new apartment. It is nice. We will have 2 bedrooms and a bigger kitchen and bedroom and the master bedroom has a walk in closet. How nice is that? I am going to have a storage spot right off my patio and so I will be able to get rid of the one that is costing me $40 a month. It isn't as big but then we aren't going to need as big of one either. The living room and dining room is a bit smaller but I can live with that. The patio isn't as big either but I can do with that too. We will be saving $140 a month in rent but we pay the electric. The heat is electric but my niece's highest bill was $37. She didn't use the air as much as I do but I figure that if my bill is $100 I am still saving. I pay $715 a month here for a 1 bedroom. There the rent is $585 I think.
I better get to moving. I am getting tired and I want to go to bed. I was going to go a long time ago and just got sidetracked. That is something that often happens to me. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone. Have a great day and don't forget to share a smile with others.
Hang in there. There are always better days ahead.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
We played trucks & cars, watched "ponge bob quare pants" , played in the sink with containers, did some cooking, read stories, had too much to eat (always at gramma's) and shopped at the grocery store.... we bought a matchbox car. It's a hard decision when there are so many. The VW bug won out over the corvette... lol
I have a case of peaches that need to be canned but the maintenance man has been unable to fix my stove. The part to be replaced was the wrong one and is on order... UGH.. I guess I'll have to freeze the peaches. We do prefer them in the jar...... sigh.
I've started babysitting for the single dad upstairs. He has to be to work at 6:00 or 6:30 so I get up in the middle of the night to go upstairs...... school starts Wed for us so that will be easier. I've been adjusting to this new routine and it isn't easy.
Food has been way off... Got to get a routine going......

She has starbucks on the brain, HMMMMM wonder where she got that from!!!!! So we walked over to Starbucks and I got my coffee and she got her kids hot chocolate. We played there for a while and walked home.
We watched Et for the millionth time on my little dvd recorder and read books and sang songs..You know the routine. I learned how to be a grandma from taking care of her.
Nothing new today but relaxing and maybe go to the beach. It is around 92 and 110 per cent humidity.
