What's New Sunday -
I've had the grand doggy overnight. He got me up at 4:51am (can you tell I have a digital clock?) this morning barking. So I got up, let all the dogs out and fed them. Then I thought I might get to go back to sleep on the loveseat, however, 'Frank' wanted me to throw his ball. He's the grand, so I had to do it! He goes home this afternoon. :)
It still amazes me how much stuff we have. I say, if you don't HAVE to ever move, don't, stay where you are, it's so much easier! We've got so many boxes lately marked misc. We're just throwing stuff in boxes to get them packed. Hubby just loaded up the Harley's onto the trailer and took them to son's house. Son wants to ride mine until Gary brings them up north. Gary will be staying with son Blair until his retirement date comes up and he can move up north. I'm starting to have mixed emotions about moving. We've been here 26 years. All my friends are here and I know the area well. I guess I'm a little menancholy. I know I love it up north, and will make new friends. Nan and Jody from OH live in the Traverse City area, and I have some cousins at the other end of the lake. I'll probably take a class or something and try to make friends. Maybe join a bowling league, or a shooting league with hubby. I'm sure I'll be fine.
Cold here this morning, 50*. Can't believe this is August, but then again, it's Michigan!
Make the best of today, you'll never get it back again.

Good morning Laureen and all my OFF sisters and brothers
Ohhhh, computer games. EEEEEK! That's what has caused my elbow to be so sore. I love hidden object games and can play them for hours. It was quite bad there for awhile, but that little obsession seems to have passed. It needed to, I wasn't getting anything done other than making my elbow sore from the position it was in to work the mouse. Stupid.
Life is slowly getting better here. Gary admitted he's having a harder time with losing Sherlock that he thought he would. I knew it would be bad for him, but we're keeping busy. Got a little crazy with the emotional eating the last couple of days, but I'll be back on track here soon.
Thank you one and all for all of your love, caring and support through out all of this. You are my life line through so much. It's wonderful to know I have all of you to be able to count on.
Hugs, smoochies and love

Good morning, Laureen and OFF friends,
I'm doing well this morning, feeling pretty good, still can't wait to get this drain out on Tuesday - YAY!!!!!
Still sipping, eating what I'm supposed to, and walking around. I have a tee-shirt on I haven't been able to wear in a while - another YAY - lol - I'm down 18.2 pounds so far. INCREDIBLE, I tell ya. Of course, all you veterans KNOW the great feeling that comes along with fitting into things you haven't worn in a while.
Love and blessings to all for a happy Sunday afternoon.
Darned computer games can be far too addictive. Tom and I spent 2 hours 38 minutes playing Bookworm. His Mac won't allow the game so he hovers over me and we play together.
Mary called and asked for help with the M&M's. She was very ill and Dave had a long shift at the hospital. We gathered dinner supplies and scooted to help.
Mary was pale so we sent her to bed. It had poured but the sun finally appeared. We put the kids in their boots and went for a walk. What fun to watch them splash in the puddles.
It was a good day until time to go home. Miss Melanie was furious and didn't want us to leave. Now where did she get such a bad temper?
Kisses
Annette

Hi Laureen and my OFF family:
Boy, it's only 64 degrees today. It's warmer in the house, so I thought I'd open the sliding door. Brrr! I don't think it'll be open long.
Didn't do much of anything yesterday. Sat in my PJs all day ... read, dumped one litter box, watched baseball ... I was a lazy bum. I was so tired and so fed up with Friday night's situation at work. My cats must sense my stress, because they were all over me all day and purring to beat the band.
I have no big plans today, either. I have one load of laundry going, I plan to make zucchini bread today (I have to shred that zucchini!) and then dump at least one more litter box. This house is a pit but I know vacuuming is not a good idea ... I would pay for it tomorrow in my back and knees. Maybe I will try to dust a little.
Oh, I didn't tell you about my big consumer story ... I had bought two bags of cat food from PetsMart the past two weeks (good deals too), but when I got around to putting them in my cat food tin, I noticed the expiration date was May 2009. So I called PetsMart and told them (of course, I already had thrown out my receipt). The guy I talked to told me to bring in the empty bags and they'd refund my money. When I did that, the woman who I eventually talked to said she couldn't refund the money but would give me two new bags. She looked up receipts (bought with a debit card, they have them on file, I guess) and I was able to get two new bags (with expiration dates of 2010). I called Nutro, the manufacturer, and they said the food is OK to feed the cats, but it may be stale and the cats might not want to eat it. Well, that's fine, but why is it still on the shelf, is what I asked the PetsMart rep? She said it shouldn't have been there ... or if it was, it should have been on their half-price mark down shelves (and it was't). When I got there, none of the food was left that was with the expired expiraton dates. So anyway, I got free cat food!
It pays to complain!
Have a good day.

Hi Laureen,
It's always good to see you here! I'm kind of dragging through life just now- not depressed, but have a thyroid problem. I saw my surgeon yesterday and he said my vitamins, etc. are all great but the blood tests show that my thyroid is way low and he wants me to get a bone density scan because something else was out of whack- he said it is all related to the thyroid scores...he upped the thyroid meds and said 2-4 weeks to feel better. He said "You must feel like crap!" LOL. I've been keeping on, keeping on...more blood tests in a couple of months. I'm cooking a roast in the crockpot and trying to do housework. Luckily it's just me and hubby now and we aren't too messy.

Went to early church, then picked up some coffee filters at the $$ store. Had more of my turkey chili for lunch along with some peach/blueberry cobbler.
I'm watching the golf match and playing on the computer.
Developed a "floater" in my right eye this morning....my appt. with eye Dr. isn't until October.... It's really strange to have something floating in and out of your line of vision. If it gets worse I'll call the eye doc.
If you get the OH magazine, check out the article on the Chicago Convention.....our Miss Carla has her picture in it!
