Any how. He agreed that this is the best thing I can do is loose weight and this would be a very good way to do it.

So doing a little dance... All done buy head Dr . lol
Then insurance

So on my way yea.

 WOW Terri

CONGRATS !!   This is great.
I am so glad that I poked my head in tonight.  You have been through a rough time already.
Weight loss surgery should be nothing in comparison.  But of course any surgery is a big deal.
I have just started the path - lost about 44 pounds so far.  I have to tell you that one reason I decided on surgery was because I was taking heart medication for a racing heart - my cardiologist told me that the reason for that was my weight.

In the 6 weeks since I have had surgery, I have stopped taking the heart medication - and my heart no longer races like it did.  JUST WITH 44 POUNDS!!  With weight, it is too easy to underestimate the toll it takes on our health -esp our heart and joints.

I really do believe this surgery is life saving.

 Terri,
You are most welcome.  I can't believe the difference just this amount of weight loss has made - and I still have 130 pounds to lose.   I didn't realize how sick I was getting until my cardiologist pointed out that the racing heart was weight related.  And now I am not taking Toprol - the beta blocker -- and have not had any problems.  She told me that I would probably not need it if I lost some weight.  She was right.  My blood pressure has also dropped.   It wasn't extremely high before - but that is purely genetics.  My sister and I both had had low blood pressure all our lives.

I consider this surgery life saving .. and I was grumbling afterwards, especially when I ended up back in the hospital with an infection at the incision site.  But it was worth it...  or so it seems now.  I'm stlll early in the process, and hope I don't have any awful complications down the line.  But at least maybe now I'll live that long - I wasn't so sure the way I was going.

Congradulation Terri,
That is a  hurdle, I go Thrus. to a heart Dr.,that I have never met. I also nervous about this, but going with enough paper work from Mayo Clinic stating the need to lose the weight. That is the main reason I had a stroke last year. Then to the pumonary Dr. because of sleep apnea. also this week, but he is also my pcp Dr. so now problems there.
I'm this close and tired of jumping thru all t he ropes just to get the surgery. .Yesterday someone form the bariatric Dr. called, I couldnt get back to them. My husband took the call and never gives me all the information. O well today I'll call and see NOW what is happening.
Sorry I got long winded. when all I wanted to say was GREAT news for you.
