Good Wednesday Morning - The What's New Revue!!!
I woke up at 12:30, even though I intended to sleep until 2:30. Just woke up and could not go back to sleep. Got up, ate breakfast and played some on-line poker. Mary made our lunch for our trip to the Ballpark. The Rangers were playing a doubleheader, and I took off half the night of work to catch both games. Great time out at the Ballpark. The Rangers won both games by the same score, 5-2.
Probably ate too much out there, but I will take care of that.
We were sitting and talking with a mother and son behind us. The son was about 25 years old or so and in from Israel. He was working over there I believe. Anyway, he had not been to a game in 2 years. We were talking about the Ballpark, while Mary explained some things to him. Like he tried to bring a beer up the escalator. Not here. The second level of the Ballpark has a separate liquor license from the first level, so the level you buy it on, you drink it on. Mary was helping the guy out with scoring the game too, when he missed a play. Very pleasant conversation.
Between games I went outside to take a picture of the Ballpark to serve as my wallpaper for my new cellphone. While out there, a guy walked up to me and said he was leaving, told me I could use his seats. Section 36, row 15. Field level, one section past first base. I went down and checked it out. Awesome seats. But I knew Mary would not go down there, she fears the foul balls in that area. So, I decided to give the tickets to the guy behind us. The guy was real happy. He said he enjoyed the conversation with Dr Baseball (Mary). Then as they got up, he said "It was nice to meet you Mary and Mary's dad."
MARY'S DAD??? That was a first for me.
Regardless, it was a great day.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
My Wed is going to Walmart for groceries day. Gotta get veggies in this house. Can't remember when I ate any last. Went back to mostly protein. Missing Brocoli big time.
It's cooled off areound these parts somewhat, was only 105 yesterday. That is pretty
good for us. May get some of the residual effects of the hurricane off of Baja. Not the
wind up this far, but, the humidity & some rain would be nice. WE NEED RAIN.
Have a good hump day everyone. Trying not to stress too much. Yeah right!!
Keep trying on that one!!
Love & Hugs
good stuff at the Rangers game i guess! at work we hear the news all day long on radio and i couldn't help but perk up about jim thome--he is originally from elyria , ohio (where my callie cat just moved to!) and played for the Indians when they played better-hmmm...
roxie is starting to wonder if she'll be the next to leave! in yesterday's thread, marilyn asked about why i am giving up the pets before the hawaii move- i explained- maybe not very clearly-it was late i was tired but it does explain if you go to my answer ....cost and stress on the animal are two very big factors-also the ability for us to get into a rental....even roxie can be a drawback as lil as she is....
callie rode the 30 miles on michael's lap-she was making those horrid cries from within her carrier!!! i hope she was better on the last 30 miles to their house (we met in sandusky for the exchange). we also gave my granddaughter an older mac computer and a portable tv for her room--and some nail polishes i won't use- gosh-she even looks like a middle schooler now!!!
anyhow- callie was actually looking out the window by the end of the drive- it seemed to calm her to be in michael's arms...hair everywhere tho!!! strange; walking into the house it seemed almost empty last nite- and callie was not an "everpresent out in your face" figure in our family!
today is pcp appt (since apparently i screwed up last week -NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and then the urologist -follow up to the procedure and the "sleeper" prostate....probly meds in his future-hope that is all...prayers and good vibes accepted graciously for my michael....
michael spoke with his brother yesterday but our trip is still off....
well- sending hugs and prayers....thinking of ruth today getting her tummy and her girls are prettied up!!!!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
