What we are eating and what's eating us.Wednesday.

I no I am not perfect when it comes to my food intake, but, it looks like you are eating
a high amount of carbs in your days menu. Just a thought you might want to change
that somewhat & get more protein instead of carbs. Carb make you want more carbs,
The weight loss will do so much better on a low-carb diet.

Yesterday Menu was:
B- 2 eggs scrambled w/ already made ground beef/cheese in them
(kind of like omelet)
s- SF pudding w added protein in it.
L- 3 oz. hamburger on low-carb bread
D- 2 Hot dogs & slice chees on low-carb bread
Lots of coffee, not enough water & no vits due to the dexa scan. back to regular
schedule of vit's today. Even though I am already on the coffee am drinking water
in between. So will get more water today.

Here I am..up and at em this morning! Lots of energy recently, dont know where that came from but its all good! And my mood is euphoric,,,and thats an improvement too. Maybe it just took the doc telling me Im a hundred percent healthy and have many years ahead of me...took away all my excuses..LOL!

D- more soup
S- cucmbers and ranch dressing on the side...for that crunchy craving.

My strange sense of humor gave visions of you eating 20
, not the cracker type. giggle
I bought multi grain crackers - low fat and sounded good for a change. Ate a couple with cheese and they were yummy. Tom sat eating a huge pile of them. We often calculate how many calories above and beyond a normal serving he can eat.
Man oh man, I had misread the label. I "thought" it said one serving was 17 crackers - which did sound like a lot. The entire package had 17 servings; two measly crackers were a single serving. So Tom ate 15 servings, I ate 2.
Better clean my glasses and ready more carefully in the future.
Be kind to yourself as you heal. That surgery takes a lot out of people.

Package labeling is tricky, for sure.
One day when I was running around doing errands, I stopped in a convenience store to use the restroom and checked out the little bags of snacks, carefuly reading the nutritional info on each one. The Fritos looked do-able - let's say it was 170 calories per serving - so that's what I got. And AFTER the Fritos were gone, I looked at the bag again and realized that there were 3 servings per bag, so I had eaten 510 calories, not 170. Duh!

I think you're going to have to force yourself to get some nutrition in, to keep your strength up (as my grandmother the nurse used to say).
I'm going back to the acupuncturist this afternoon. The sciatica hasn't come back but I have this stabbing pain on the left side of my back (have had it on and off for months) that I'm hoping he can treat.

S: iced skinny latte
L: baked crab rangoon
S: apple with PB2 dip
D: peanut tofu, eggplant, tomatoes
S: frozen cherries

Linda sweetheart....I hope you are okay...I have been gone for awhile and I don't know wehat is wrong with you. I am sorry you are not feeling great.
Well since I am supposed to be on 800-1000 calories every and no wine..BUT this morning I had to go to a client's house for coffee and look at her condo and she served fresh fruit and danish pastries and poppy seed muffins.....She lives alone and this is a big event for her so I just couldn't not eat it. [oh I could have, but I didn't want to hurt her feelings.] so I think I must have had 800 calories for breakfast today.
I am at the office and can't leave [I am expecting someone to come and they are late] so he is bringing me a McD's Grilled chicken salad with vinegrette dressing.
I have no idea what we are having for dinner and we are having company, so that will be a surprise for everyone !
So Linda et al see how much I need you.....but the good thing is that I worked out for an hour this morning in water aerobics at my girlfriends house.
