Good morning all from St. Louis!

Yesterday was travel day with daughter Erin and grands Hannah and Clara. We got up at 4am, changed and dressed the babies, showered ourselves and loaded up before 5am. Made our way to the airport and were checked in by 6:30. The girls loved the airport and walked and explored until time to board at about 8am.

The trip took about 3.5 hours and could not have been much better. That's a long time for two almost 18 month olds to be confined. Erin gave them a bit of Tylenol to take the "edge" off and it did. We used up most of our bag of tricks (snacks, books, stickers, singing softly, juice, water, milk) by the end of the trip but they did really well. They took about a one hour nap about 1/2 way through the trip. We packed them each an apple and they gnawed on that for about 45 minutes!

Took a nap about 5pm (3 our time) and didn't finally pass out until about 10pm St. Louis time, but hopefully they'll get up rested and ready to party today. We're spending time in St. Louis and Columbia until Tuesday when we fly back home. No big plans; just visiting family.

Posting may be a bit sporadic as I don't know if I'll have a computer available in Columbia. Have a great weekend. The weather is just really nice here. Not "St. Louis" hot. If you've been here you know what I mean. I'm used to very low humidity and St. Louis in the "warm" season can be unbearable for me.

We packed all 4 of us in a 26 inch suitcase. Fifty lbs. exactly! Mostly baby stuff including a whole package of diapers. Best try to get a bit more sleep. Take care,

Hi everyone!

Nothing too much new here.  Working on getting the house cleaned up and then out to the yard.  Having the in-laws over on Sunday.  Went shopping last night for some of the food.  I am doing well on my diet though it doesn't show up on the scale.  Don't know why.  I don't want to get discouraged.  Just following doc's orders.

Well I hope everyone has a safe and great holiday weekend.

If I read her profile right it says she lost 126 pounds on her own before surgery....she must be  using her highest weight for her tracker.

No, I lost 134 lbs before weight loss surgery.  I did atkins and it took me five years.   I wish I lost that much after weight loss surgery.  I am in a stall.

this will be short and sweet today lol ...when has that ever happened huh? well since i dont write every day it is hard to condense it too much.
I am having a garage sale ...biggest one i have ever had. Im turning loose of a lot of stuff i had stored. it has been stored for about 5 years now and i figure that if it hasnt been used by now i dont need it evidently. I did save still some of the things that my mom gave me so will keep them and give them to my kids. and they can pass them down to theirs if they want to one of these days.
well got to go and get the tarps rolled back off the tables i have been loading the tables for 3 days now still have to get what clothes out that i have ,
wish me luck and pray that God holds off on the rain for today anyway

karen-you and erin are brave-but safety in numbers!!! sounds fun too!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good afternoon Karen and everyone.....

I am behind as usual...sorry I just couldn't get here sooner.

I did my two hours at the gym and then walked for a mile when I got home. No pain so I am definately healing.....wooohooo!!

Nothing much to chat about. I am off work today so I have been puttering around. I had to go to Walmart and the gas station and a few other little stops. I can't believe how fast the morning went!

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. I am glad.
I don't think I will be here again until probably Tuesday. I hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

It is pouring down rain here, and we have a leak in our water heater.

Fortunately, the son of one of our clients is a plumber and he will come out tomorrow, at his normal rate.  Otherwise we would be paying out the nose for the weekend..

We are trying to figure out what kind of ho****er tank (or tankless heater) to buy.
