It's Friday, what's new with you?
Good morning guys.....and it is FRIDAY!!!! And a long week end for most so that is great. I don't know what I am so happy about since I don't work anyway....but I love holidays. Does that count? Oh heck! It is just good that I am happy if you ask me.
Kayden was suppose to come at 8:30 this morning and at 7:20 guess who was knocking on my door? You got it...DS. I opened the door and asked him what happened to 8:30. I guess that wasn't very nice. He told me that he had a meeting and got a call this morning. So it was nice that he called me.... Kayden is feeling a bit better now that they took him to the doctor. He is on a antibiotic and not coughing as much but he sounded a bit congested this morning which he hasn't before. But he is sleeping right now so all is good. ha ha
Bill's first day of work went pretty good last night. He was a bit sore but nothing to much. They got a new time clock while he was gone and this one is 15 minutes late....that made him mad. He said that they were trying to get 15 extra minutes of work out of them. He liked the girl that started while he was gone. But she only worked 2 hours and then left for her other job. I guess she works on one of the boats but doing what I am not sure other than she is a supervisor. I guess there is talk of Bill going on days but then he will lose his week ends off. He would be off on Thursday and Friday instead. He said that if that happens he would be home by 3:30 so that wouldn't be so bad. I guess out there you have to do what you have to do since they are just wanting to get rid of people. I don't think that I could work that way...to much pressure. I work good under pressure...or at least use to but not that kind. I did one job and ended up quitting....just couldn't take it. Bill and I had talked and he said that I could find another one....this was a long time ago. Now it isn't so easy.
It is 55 out this morning with the sun shinning. It is suppose to get into the high 70's which will be nice. I am planning on opening the sliding door and the windows and getting some fresh air in here before the rain begins tomorrow. At least that is what I was told. Rain for a few days....oh brother not rain again!
I still haven't gotten to the library. I should go today but I might have Bill just drop them off. I have Kayden all day and lat tonight. They are going out for DIL's birthday.
Misty has ventured out and is looking at Kayden now. She is brave since he is sleeping and not making noise. She kept backing up and now she is gone. That sure didn't last long. She just isn't a child's cat at all. In fact she isn't a cat for other people. If she doesn't know you....and most of the time if she does....she isn't out here with any of us. She just is a cat for Bill and I I guess.
I better get going. I have have gone on for long enough. I hope that everyone has a great day and know that I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers and good thoughts for everyone too. Don't forget to smile and share your joy and happiness to others that might be less fortunate than you are with joy and happiness in their lives.

Aloha my friend........You are such an adventurer........that says a lot about your health, energy, etc. Can you imagine doing all that you do at your highest weight??? I think not!
I've been busy lately getting my house ready for the termite tenting.......we have to be out by next Sunday (the 13th) for a week. I started double plastic bagging of my pantry stuff......cereal, jello, crackers, anything in bags like dried fruit, mashed potatoes, etc. I made four HUGE bags full. I'm trying to get my two kitties used to the carriers I borrowed by leaving them open in the living room and putting treats in there. Nicki actually went all the way in yesterday! Poki still approaches and backs away. I'm going to have to surprise her next Saturday and Just put her in and close the door. She will NOT be a happy camper...Nicki either. Oh, well.....we'll get through it.
Went to my eye doc and since she could only correct my eyes to 20/30 she has made an appointment for me with ophthalmologist to see if I need to have cataract surgery. My brother had both eyes done a couple of years ago, so it is probably my time. Have any of your had that surgery? If so, please tell me about it.
I'm off to a staff meeting soon.......so here's hoping you all have a super Labor Day Weekend. I can't believe that summer is over already......seems like it just began.

Put an old T-shirt of yours in the carrier ... one you have worn recently that has your "smell" on it. It will make your cats more comfortable and more receptive to going in the carrier. Or a blanket that they like to lay on that maybe has a little catnip on it. I have certain blankets that are catnip infused (they have a little area in them you can put catnip in ... got them off eBay a while back). The cats lay on them in the house, and when I have to put them in the carriers, I put the blanket in there, too. That way, they feel a little more comfortable.

I've had cataracts taken off both of my eyes -- it's a breeze....outpatient and usually only at the hospital for a couple hours. You will need someone to drive you home, however. Be prepared to put several kinds of drops in your eyes probably 3X a day for a couple weeks, other than that, you will be glad you did it!!

The board was doing freaky things ... first HTML Editor #1 wouldn't work; so I switched to #2. Then #2 wouldn't give me a big enough font. So I switched back to #1. Voila! I can see it again!
I was busy at work last night, which I like. Had a lot to do ... my two business pages, two local pages, plus finishing up the sports page I was given for Sunday, plus proofing the outdoors page. I got out of there at about 1 a.m. That I wasn't happy about because both of my knees were hurting me. Every time I had to get up to walk around, I felt I was going to fall ...especially my left knee, my good knee supposedly. I think I must be having a fibro flare, but I don't know why ...stress? I know my finances stress me out ... what's new there? I'm sick of it but I haven't found a solution.
I was waiting yesterday for my Elavil 90-day prescription from the Aetna pharmacy ... I was out and had sent in it last week. Well, I didn't get it so I called them and they hadn't received it. So now I had to get my doc to call one in for 30-day script to Walgreens so I had enough until Aetna got my 90-day script. I save money by using the mail order, but sometimes it's a pain because I have to wait until I have enough money to send it in ... and then it doesn't come in time.
I seem to be beating myself up. Sunday, I hit my right arm on the chest of drawers and had a big gash that was bleeding; last night I hit it (higher up) on the shelves in the garage and it started bleeding. I'm just a mess!
Went out this morning to the bank to put some money back in so I could pay one bill ... took too much out yesterday while I was shopping. Stopped at a couple of roadside farm stands and got some nice tomatoes for $3 and four nice zucchinis for $1 ... I'm going to make my chocolate zucchini cake for Sunday when I have to work. It's a nice treat for the Sunday crew. (This is a great recipe and I'm sure it could be made WLS-friendly, but right now, it's full fat, full sugar ... I usually just have a little piece. It's oh so yummy! So moist, you don't frosting or anything.)
Well, I finally had a cup of coffee in me so I feel a little more human (I know, it's after 1 ... but I got up after 11 when the phone rang).

Going to a "Naughty Party" tonight... I know- geez... but there are five of us going that are between 40-55 years old.... we will have lots of fun! It keeps me young- that's all I can say! I'm excited about having a three-day weekend too. I guess that's about all that is happening with me right now...

Ill brign up the rear today. I just got backfrom an impromptu road trip to Lake City Florida to see my friend. I was ther since Wednesday. I learned how to make Challah (Jewish Egg Bread). We usually eat it on Shabbot.
Lily and I are going to make it tomorrow.
I am babysitting Lily for the night. Her mom went out on a date.
