I'll tell you what's new. Everyone is sleeping.  Geez....

I am working (normally off Friday night - main job), but I worked part time 3-9PM, then to full time OT 9:45-6:15, then back to part time at 8AM.  Supposed to wor****il 1PM, but told the boss I would give him 3 hours today, then get some sleep before the Rangers game and my fantasy football draft (I have 2 leagues with a live draft tonight).

So that is my day for today in a nutshell.  What are you doing?

Good morning, ya'll.  Looks like George and I are the only ones up and around.

I had my 'large gall bladder and about 100 stones' removed on Thursday.  Yesterday I did a lot of dozing and crochet and sewing.  I am feeling pretty good, except the incision at my belly button is bothering me.  Whenever I get up or down from a chair or bed, or reach for something, or cough, or bend over, or lean against the counter it lets me know it is there!  It was done laproscopically like my band.  But I didn't have any gas discomfort either time.

I am working on a crochetted baby blanket for my daughter's friend, and 20 'chair buddies' for my daughter-in-law.  Chair buddies are pouches that go over a chair in the classroom, with 2 pockets on the back for the kids to put their notebooks, etc. I made the mistake of trying to cut the rest of them out yesterday, and the bending over was a little too much.  Today, I just have to sew them all.

Everyone have a fantabulous holiday weekend!

Do you have a picture/and or pattern for the chair buddies, they sound really nice. I would be interested doing some for my grand daughters class, she goes to a private school and funding is low for them and I do lots of volunteer stuff and fundraisers and so do her mom and dad....

Can you put a binder on so help with the pressure when your bending, pulling and tugging?

Hope your recovery is non eventful....

I can take a picture.  I can write down the instructions and sketch a pattern.  Where would you like them?  On here, in a private e-mail, in the regular mail? Just say the word.  It takes about a yard of fabric and I have TONS of fabric left over from other projects and I'm always looking for ways to use it up.  My daughter and daughter-in-law always seem to find ways, bless their hearts.

Been up for about an hour.  I slept in this morning, lol.  Not planning anything for this weekend.  I intend to actually take the weekend off for a change.  I usually post on the AR RNY board but thought I would check ya'll out.

Well look who's smiling face I saw first thing this a.m.!!!  Welcome, dear Sybul!!!

You'll find this a very active board with lots and lots of wonderful people. I spend most of my time here, especially since the AR board has gotten so slow.

Pull up a chair, grab a cup and make yourself cozy.

Good morning OFF friends,

Hoping you all have a great day and Labor Day weekend.  I can't believe summer is officially over, but kind of glad and loving this weather.

My daughter is in from NY for the weekend and I'm really enjoying her company.  We did some shopping yesterday and planning to go visit my other daughter today.  Love spending time with my girls.

Have a great day and weekend!

If you think this one is active, check out the Texas one.  Normally one full page of posts each day.  This is a much friendlier board though for the most part.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
