IT'S SATURDAY!!!! - What's New?????
Me? well, it's been fun and not so fun......
I baked my "Famous Lasagna" and a Huckleberry Slump for a family dinner. Its a celebration for my son's homecoming from Iraq. He's been home for two weeks now and it is a nice sigh of relief for me. I'm not a worrier but.....
Sun night he will be roasting a pig for a big party with all the family and friends. He loves to BBQ and cook the fun unusual things. Most everyone brings a side dish and desert. There is always too much food but, what a great time. He also builds a big bonfire and the guys stand around and tell "stories".
The not so fun.... I have a head cold that feels like a basketball. I want to take something besides Tylenol Extra Strength and Afrin. Most everything is loaded with sugar and that will spike my blood sugars then drop me. What do you people do? I am able to rest a lot but still my throat is sore and my ears are plugged.... I think my feet smell too.... sheeesh.
Well, all for now.... I have a lasagna pan to clean and the tomatoes need to be canned.
