Labor Day edition of the what's new revue
If there is a printing company near you, ask if they have any scrap paper to donate. Tom works in a printing comapny and they have to PAY to get rid of scraps. Their scraps are good paper but not enough for most orders. Card stock, colored paper, and everything in between gets scrapped. Worth a visit.

Don't feel bad, Margo, I don't plan to get out of my nightshirt either today (well, I was out of it yesterday because I had to work). Today is my only day off this week ... I will work Tuesday through Saturday ... next week's paycheck will be extra big because I'll get paid for OT on Sunday, plus the holiday, plus five days of work. So it'll be for seven days. Woohoo! I have a lot of bills to pay (namely, the condo association). Not much fun out of that paycheck, let me tell you. I need to get the oil changed in the car ... it's way past time.
Margo, I understand your dilemma on the move ... it's your decision and some times these things take time. Maybe by the time you are ready to move, the house will be sold. Who knows?
Work last night went fairly quickly. I had to finish the business page (basically one brief and put in a graphic, proof it, etc.), then do one other page and help with proofing. Then I had to do the business page for Tuesday. I was home by 8 p.m., in time to see Sunday Night Baseball. I was pretty tired and in bed by 10 p.m. and asleep by 11. Slept pretty well, although my body is still hurting. I must be having a fibro flare-up ... had an IBS flare on Saturday, too. It just seems like everything hurts, and nothing I do makes it feel better. So today, I'm doing nothing ... other than dump one litter box. I was going to make the crockpot salsa chicken today for dinner, but forgot and took out a steak last night. So I guess I'm grilling a steak on my George Foreman grill instead. We'll have the salsa chicken next Sunday. (The chicken's in the freezer anyway.)
It's a pleasant day ... 73 degrees and sunny, a little hazy but otherwise beautiful. If I was so inclined, I'd go outside, but really, I just want to veg out at home and watch baseball and read. The kitties are stretched out in front of the sliding door, taking in the nice breeze. Ah, it's a gorgeous holiday!
Marilyn, I'd glad your friend went back into the hospital. It's hard to be responsible for someone else when they don't want to be responsible for themselves.
I guess everyone is getting ready to go to Janet's birthday bash. Wish I could go! Oh well, some other time. I'm looking forward to a week off in a couple of weeks with nothing to do and nowhere to go.
Well, have a good Labor Day, or in my feeling, a day of no labor. I don't have a lot of those.

Looks like rain coming here..what a surprise tho the last few days have been just perfect! I guess we got summer in two days of September this year. JB is outside doing yardwork and Derek is out in the shop...he worked til 4 am this morning at his BOUNCER job.
I've been studying and cleaning in the kitchen....doing laundry and prepping dinner for the guys since I'm leaving early to drive to Niagara Falls for my Monday evening Minds for Success group meeting.
I'm leading LifePath groups now...got one group starting Sun Sept 13th and trying to get a second group as well...but the first group is all young women who are very creative but somewhat scattered in their energy and need to find focus. But I have another young woman who needs to be paired with another woman of more mature nature and she would be totally overwhelmed by the lack of focus from the first group..trouble is finding another person to balance this young woman.
I sure wish that I could have been able to afford to be in Dallas with the Birthday Redhead and the gang but I simply couldnt . However I will be there in my heart.
My son Derek is in a bit of shock. Last Saturday, at 3 am, there was a Hit & Run accident near the club where he is a Bouncer on weekends. An SUV was driving down the road ( a wide thoroughfare with four lanes and a wide median in between)...when it suddenly went out of control and up onto the sidewalk and hit one of two young men walking back to their hotel from a bachelor party. (they'd been drinking and decided to NOT drove but to walk back tho their rooms to be safe..such irony!). Their wives were waiting for them at the hotel. One man was uninjured but his friend was badly hurt and later died. Yesterday the driver of the SUV was caught and in court...it was a "shooter girl" of many years from the club where Derek works. She had been missing for several days, not coming into work and Derek suddenly remembered that she drove a dark SUV and put two and two together..and at work last night, asked that girl's best friend what's going on. The friend broke down having just found out that morning....needlesstosay, the entire club staff is shocked and upset. What a very sad situation for all concerned!
Well got to get rrady to go to my meeting...please everybody, this is a long weekend and the traffic is heavy....if you have to be on the road, DRIVE SAFELY !
