It's time for the Tuesday What's New Revue!!!!
Oh, I'm so sorry, Margo! I know how precious every cent is to you (boy, I know that, because it's the same to me, and I'd be devastated). I hope you get this cleared up quickly and without losing anything. You're in my thoughts, dear friend.
Good morning, ya'll. We had WAY too much rain yesterday. My rain gauge said 3.5 inches! My back yard was a swamp.
I finished all 20 of the 'chair buddies' for my DIL to take to school today. I am almost done with the afghan for my daughter to give to her friend (I did an entire layette last month for her).
Today I am devoting to working on my Mom's insurance snafu. Got a letter from her health insurance wanting a 'certificate of creditable coverage' because they say she had a pre-existing condition they don't want to pay for. Mom and Dad both had this same ins since the 1960's. When they turned 65 they also got Medicare and TriCare for Life. When Dad passed in 2008, Mom got her own number. Apparently this is where the snafu comes from. Plus the letter they sent in June asked if she had seen a doctor between 11/14/2009 and 5/14/2010. HUH!!?!! I sent them a letter and talked to someone on the phone. Thought it was all taken care of. NOT! Got another letter Friday, same thing. Called again, I HAVE to have this certificate from Medicare. Called Medicare, I have to fill out some form, sign it and send it in with my letters testimentary showing I am executor for Mom's will and getting this info doesn't violate her privacy. THEN they will send me the letter, that I can send the insurance company. This will take a month or more. Meanwhile there is only ONE doctor out of about 10 that they are NOT paying because of this pre-exisring condition. I am so frustrated, and feeling sorry for the one doctor that is NOT getting paid. But, I am sure they are used to dealing with insurance companies.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
sorry-hadda do it!
hugs carolyn!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Besides whining on the forum .... lessee... what did I do...
Mostly just tried to rest and let this back injury heal some more... I did not receive any money from Workers Comp so we are broke due to the tiny paycheck I got... ran completely out of vacation time and sick time.. and only working 4 hours a day... now I am working 6 hours a day, and will tell the doctor on Thursday to clear me for full time, but light duty. I had to get some money from my church so I can pay my car payment today...
I only have 2 more authorized visits to the physical therapist... thinking about going to my own doctor and seeing about getting more PT with his therapist.. it is working so a little nervous about stopping it. I am waiting the results of a MRI I had last Thursday... should know something today or tomorrow... depending on what it shows I can decide then about PT....
Leesee... got the house cleaned and laundry done... found a recumbant bike through Craigs List... just got lucky and happened to be looking when the ad was posted.... ran out to FT Benning and picked it up... seems like it is in great shape and works perfectly.... so I am going to start using it 3 times a week and see how that goes.. the walking I was trying kept hurting me.. so maybe this will work.
I did do some turning in the shop... just one bowl... but it was nice to use my lathe again, and it didn't bother my back at all, so that is good news... It is Red Cedar... so now the whole shop smells good

That's all for now... gotta get in the shower and off to PT I go...
just had to jump in on this.....
