Good Morning, Its Thursday September 10.
Carla have a wonderful trip and Ihope you are feeling better. They say laughter sends out those good pain fighting endorphins and if that is the case you should be pain free.
I am very upset here at work I sent out an E-mail and now everyone in my department is also up in arms. For the last 2 days in the back parking lot a man claiming to have a gun has assulted and robbed someone. I know this because my mom knows both people who were attacked. I should not be the one sending out the e-mail, it should be security !! Every one should be warned. In my department we have consultants coming and going all day long and with their hands full. There are only 15 people in my department less than 10% of the employees of the building.
Now the good news ! The money has finally been approved for my infant massage training. It will be Oct. 2-5th. Too bad I can't go some place fun and sunny, but I am getting out of town and get to stay in a hotel and not have to cook..Yippeeee. Kearney Nebraska is hardly a hot spot, but it is a road trip.. Well I am off to make my reservations.. Have a fantastic day.

Carla, I am so happy that you are on your way to an OFF sisters' retreat!! I can only imagine the mischief you will all get into. I sure hope your pain doesn't hold you back. I think I would have taken the cortisone shot.,.....I've had three in my right shoulder and the pain goes away totally for months. And.....I felt no more pain from the shot than any other flu shot, etc. Anyway.......take care and have fun!
My weekend is going to be the weekend from hell!! Saturday is the day I have to get my two kitties into their carriers (worrying about that so much!) and getting them up to the Maui Cat Hotel which is up the side of Haleakela volcano where it's cooler. Then I still have my whole frige/freezer to double bag, or to take over to my friend's rental condo which I'm using for the week. I think I'll get a wagon (shopping cart) and take as much freezer stuff as hers will hold, and then just bag the rest. Anyway, it's going to be a stressful weekend. I will move out on Sunday....and will be without a computer until probably the 19th. That in itself is a pain.
Going out to have coffee with friends so I'd better get going. To all of your going to Janet's birthday bash.....have a wonderful time....and to Janet.....I hope this is a birthday to remember!! I'm happy for you....so many friends........it's a good thing!

Wow flying off again so soon........ Hope it's a good trip for you. Sorry you having sciatica pain....that stinks......hope it's better by now.
Hope everyone has been doing well.
I'm doing pretty great
My food is still a little "off" since surgery but certainly doing better. My appetite is still not back to normal but also the surgery binder is so tight I just can't eat much. I'm making sure I drink lots of water so I can flush out some of the fluid from my swollen body (this is worst part to me........the swelling.......I can cope with post surgery pain better than being swollen).
I love the initial results I'm seeing.......my tummy looks great! Starting to get a little swelling in the tummy but looks fantastic. The Swelling in my legs and butt is dreadful but I'm know in a compression garment on my legs hoping that will help a little. This too shall pass......I just need to hang in there. I've been taking a few pictures over the past week to document my surgeon. I share some of them with the folks on the plastic surgery board.
I also had "the girls" lifted again and I have mixed feelings about how they look. I'm holding bac****il I see the surgeon next Tuesday. He explained to Matthew that he had a little trouble and would have to do some fine tuning next time when I'm having my legs done but I really didn't expect them to look like they..........I realize they are swollen so maybe it will look better in a couple weeks but as of what I saw 2 days ago I was not happy.......I was wishing I never had them redone.
Anyhow........I'm holding onto positive thoughts and want to believe that the surgeon has a plan and the end results will be GREAT. 
Well I'm off to get to some lunch now........not hungry but need my protein.......

Hey all...I've been lurking here for a while..
I'm Marcy. I'm a friend and WLS support group member with Annette. I had my RNY in July 08 and am doing reasonably well.
Carla ..if you can tell Annette that I'm proud of her for flying. I hope she has a wonderful time..and to try and eat some Tex Mex. She might like it. Its nice to meet all of you wonderful people!
