Thank you and have date

I am a new member and was recently reading the posts for this group.  I just turned 59 and was nervous about having the surgery at this age.  After reading the positive comments in this group I felt so much better and am anxious to have my new life begin.  I have my surgery on 9/18/09.  Thanks for convincing me I am doing the right thing.

I took my chapstick and couldn't figure out why everyone said I'd need it.  I didn't use it once !  I wonder why??

Good luck to you my friend.  I thought I was too old at 58 also, but I had an RNY on 6/8/09 and have lost 45 pounds.  I have a new life!!
