Sublingual B12

My surgeon's instructions are 500 mcg a day ( that's 7 times a week!), but I have been taking the 1000mcg sublinguals 3 times a week ( Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays) and my blood readings are int he 700's down from 900's when I was taking 4 times a week....The nurse clinician who is following me at my surgeon's office  is not happy, feels I am still "too high" and wants me to get lower blood readings but won't  actually tell me to skip a dose a week ( just take 1000mcgs on Mondays and Wednesdays, which is what I suggested to him).....I intend to maintain my 3xs a week, know Vitalady will scream at me I am not getting enough B-12 into me and double the dosage! My GP is fine with whatever, says in Europe everyone is on lots of B-12 whereas N.American generally accepted upper limits in the 200-300 range is too low....so what's  a girl to do?  If you have energy and feel fine on the dose you are on, I'd say go with it!   Vitalady says we are born with levels of 2000, so anything between 300 and 2000 should be OK....If you are at the 1200 level, and feel fine, go with that!

I take 10,000 mcg methylcobalamin and then shots weekly. No such thing as too much B12. IMHO, no such thing as ENOUGH B12, either

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

It all depends on the person and the doc as you can see.

Mary and I have the same doc.  I take 1000mcg, once a week.  Mary takes 1000mcg, 3 times a week.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
