what's New Revue
My friend and I had the best visit. We have been best friends since before elementary school. We have been BFF since eighth grade. We met at a restaurant and shared a huge salad and ordered the ultimate feast and shared that too. We spent about two hours just talking and picking at the food and remembering. She reminded me about the time we were going to run away to New York. I don’t even think we were going in the right direction. LOL. After we walked, on the rail road tracks, for about thirty minutes, we decided that running away was not so much fun and decided to insist on better treatment first. But then we began talking about how fast time flew by. She has a great grand baby. Of course she had her first baby at fifteen, but a great grand baby.
So, today, I am going to make sure I have all those really important things written down. I have tons of journals with all kinds of stuff that my kids will have, but my friend reminded me of those things that I thought were not important to share and they are very important. We were two peas in a pod and even though we are miles away in our personal lives, we can pick right back up as though we just talked.
No kids, just writing and research. Oh, and on the Saturdays that I don’t have kids, I marathon cook. Today, I am making soup and chili for the freezer. Love having small bags of food at my disposal.
You guys have a good day.

You said you are making soup and chili for the freezer, but then say you have small bags at your disposal. Do you put the chili and the soup in freezer bags after it cools down? I had not thought of that. We have the food saver, and I like to use it. I have to start using it more often, like when Mary makes meat loaf. Right now, what we do, is eat meat loaf for 4 days in a row.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Yep. I use freezer bags and after I use the soup out of the bags, I wash them and set them in the window and then store them back in the freezer for next time. LOL. I hate to buy new bags and if I can wash them and use them a couple of times I save the enviornment and money. I freeze everything that I make a lot of. Soups, stews, chillies, and even roast and chicken.

Jeannie...I too use freezer bags...they work just great!!
I don't have a lot going on today. I am going to a benefit today for a good friend. That is about all I have planned. Maybe out with some friends tonight if I feel like it. I finally broke it off with Dwayne last night.....no going back this time!! Some of the things he said and did cannot be forgiven. Good riddance....he was way too much work!
I think I will run over and tan now....love it!!
Everyone have a good day.
Prayers to those in need.....especially Linda S.
Love and hugs....connie d
Good morning, ya'll.
I have a new little 2 drawer organizer to put together and begin organizing. I have had it for a week, but things got in the way of setting it up. Now I am trying to get as much done as I can before Thursday. Looks like for the 2 months after that I may not be up to doing too much.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Wrote out some bills this morning and got them out to the mailbox. I bought this cool yellow flag on line that attaches to my mailbox (it's a rural box at the street). When the mailman opens the box door, the flag goes up to let me know he's been here. My Mom had one when she lived here and since our driveway is 100 ft it saved her some steps as she aged. Now it's just for convenience, not for saving steps. I love it.
Decaf protein coffee this morning. I didn't get enough protein in yesterday, so I'm going to work harder at it today.
Hope everyone had a wonderful day.
Today I have to clean my house, do laundry, go shopping and begin preparation for an inservice that I was asked to give in Oct. My boss wants all the speech therapists, special education teachers and school psychologists to know exactly why I am working in their school district and what I do. I've been there 16 years...but ..it seems people are forgetting to involve me in services for our Hearing Impaired students. I'm not liking being out of the "loop".
I'm also hanging with my beautiful granddaughter today. She is only 5, going on 15 I think. She is definitely funny and precocious. Oh and I have to find a great birthday present for Annette and surprise her when she gets back from Dallas..so don't anyone tell her.
Hope everyone has a great Sat. The weather here is cold and rainy so its probably a good day for me to make some soup too.
Talk to you all later.
