ladies in Texas im still sad that i didnt get to join you all. but Janet gave me an idea and i maybe will go farward with it.  How many people would be interested in a weekend in Branson in the spring?
There are lots of things to do and see . maybe too many things .
well an idea hopefully we can get  it all together but darn it is aggraviting that i didnt get to Texas.

saw the great grands today....they are all so sweet.  and we are expecting a new one any day was due on the 11th but so far no baby girl.

been cleaning all the winter clothes. and getting them hung up. i keep needing a light jacket here and there so thought i would get it all out and get it cleaned.

Hopefully can start the add on onto the house next week....We are going to bump out on the back and put the laundry room there and then i can use the old laundry room for my closet...i cant wait. my clothes will have a place of their own. lol

i think we are thinking of renting out the guest house....dont know but it would bring in more money for us...at least for people who want somewhere for the week end to fish and hunt. if nothing else. dont know how we would do it with us being out of town for the winter tho

well i got the post all started so post away....no coffee , going to bed.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Yup...I'm sad too..I just KNOW (having been to the first Dallas weekend) what a blast they are all having!

JB and I always wanted to go to Branson, Mo and I know hubbies aren't allowed (and I DO agree with that too) so I'm not sure I can get away with that..sure is worth a try though! *s*

Sunday afternoon will be my very first LifePath group to counsel.  As some may have noticed, I'd been studying hard and earned my Certified MetaPhysical Counsellor & Consultant Certificate.   So today, I will be counselling three young women in their late tweinties and their early thirties.

They are are very energetic and creative but don't have any direction and need to learn how to focus on their skills and make use of them in a positive manner..that's what I will be helping them with.   And in two weeks, there will be a second group...I am still trying to match another young woman, Sophia, with several others more suited to her  ( the first group of young women are far too scattered (unfocused) for Sophia and would completely overwhelm her and she would retreat into a corner instead).  So I will be fascilitating two groups every other Sunday in four month commitments.

In the afternoon, I will be harvesting more summer savoury for my pantry and I won't be getting a manicure until all 20 bushes left are picked clean...man, that stuff is wicked on manicures ( I found out the hard way)!

Also getting alot of pears from the garden trees..a few nectarines and some apples too. Also waiting still for the blue plums/prunes..I love them.

I am waiting here for Derek to come home from work.  He is a Bouncer at a local club...the biggest & most popular in the region.  He tells me that they need someone with common sense who doesnt drink and get stupid and  doesnt lose their head easily.    Besides he likes the money.....it's helps pay bills as he prepares his dumptrucks and plows for the winter season for his business.  Tonight, (Saturday) for some reason, they are short staffed and there are only 3 bouncers as security to watch over 1200 customers.  It's  a dangerous job as it is, so I'm hoping that he will be home soon, safe and sound. Then I can relax and go to bed.  It's quarter after 4 am already..he should be home any minute.  Okay, he IS 31 but he is still my baby (even tho he is 6'4 and 275 lbs).

In the meantime, I am typing out sentences for a video game my friend has created for LITERACY ..these are called Smart Games and the funding has been approved...yayy! So far, I've written 250 sentences with varying combinations of verb, noun, adverb, adjective, conjunctions and phrases.  These are all needed for the database of the game...it's how to "grow a sentence" presented in a fun way for many levels of comprehension to teach children how to construct proper grammar.

Enjoy the day, everyone!

Good Sunday Morning to all my OFF Brothers and Sisters!

I know I have been MIA for a while. Like everyone else life has been in the way.  It has been busy for me though not as a REALTOR!  I haven't sold anything in months. I really could use a paycheck so if anyone wants a house on the lake at Lake Waccamaw, NC Call me!!!! LOL  The market is seeming to turn a tiny bit and I am getting a few calls.  Wish me luck.

Now having said all that, I guess the lull came at a good time for me.  Having to take care of Mom and my DH have been challenging. to say the least.  I am afraid that I put myself on the back burner for a little while.  I am trying to get back into the better habits that I was forming and out of the old bad habits I find myself trying to slide back into.  Nothing real bad just not paying a close attention as I was.

Things are getting better as a job (that pays a check! what a concept) fell into my lap and I decided to put the real estate thing into a partime mode and accept the paying job.  At least I will not be paying to work! LOL  Wish me luck with my new endeavor and that Real Estate will pick back up.

Enough about me I have to get up and teach Sunday School in a few hours. Although I have a nasty cold and if I am still running a temp I will let my daughter handle it.  I just got up to take some tylenol for fever and thought I would check in.

Hope this finds you all well!

Hugs,

looking forward to this trip, its our first longer foray out and about since
my accident last year.

ive been hearing a little bit here and a little bit there about the Texas get- together.
it would be so nice to have something in the NorthEast, well perhaps another time.
Meeting some of you would be awesome, i have only meet Laureen in person to

Hi All,
I'm up at this ungodly hour trying to calm down enough to sleep. I had a full day- I drove a group of ladies to our monthly play in Sonora (a two hour drive one way) and was gone most of the day. The play was excellent (Bus Stop) and we had a very nice day. Tonight as I was getting into bed at 10:00 I got a call...my Mom, the senior citizen gambler, missed the bus home. There was no place to sleep, no busses until Monday, and she was going into panic mode. So I got up, got dressed, and drove two hours to the casino- then decided to make lemonade and gamble a bit to make the trip a little fun. I lost $50, but my Mom won $100 (with my money- she had spent every cent she had). So she was in a much better mood by the time we left. Another two hours to drive home and here I am.
My week was very good- I'm extremely busy with the new school year, but as I've said before, it's very satisfying work. I had to take my dog to the vet to get a couple of lumps removed and we did a blood test to check for a few things. I asked how long she might live and the vet said she is at her life expectancy right now (14 years old). So as I suspected, she is now living on borrowed time... I love her so, this is the part of owning a dog that is the hardest. She may live for a few years more... I hope so. She has a big wound with staples and we are now calling her "Frankenpuppy".
Happy Birthday to Janet (even though I wasn't invited... wah, wah)... hope you girls are having a wonderful time- a special hello to CANDY too!

good morning! i cannot believe that i willingly got up at 530 AM on a sunday!!!!!!!!!!! too many tasks still to do for family reunion today that i just could npt get self to do last nite--so! pay the piper! ( a pun since our name is pipher!!)

well- it's official about our house- the sign is in the yard! tuesday morning the realtors from her office will tour and hopefully things will start to move-oh please...i'm prayin here still!!! even tho we decided to wait til at least mid january to go with roxie; still it needs to seel and quickly-if we have to rent somewhere for a few months, so be it!!!!

two nights ago, roxie got out-not sure if i told you- i walked the neighborhood--cell phone and house key and leash-no friggin flashlight! man it was dark!!!!!!!!anyhow the neighbor got her off his porch and i got her from him--had to sit for about 40 minutes picking "hitchikers" out of her fur.....soooooooooo last nite-michael gets a brain storm and attached her rope to a piece of wood in the yard and let her wander-once i went out to get her since she was wandering further than i liked- dragging the wood behind her!!! it was kinda cute! later; i'm up in the kitchen and called him on his phone- she wandered all the way to the back of the yard and was walking up the hill (old rail trestle) to the bike path--he climbed up there and got her- sooooooi had to sit almost an hour to get the hitchikers out this time--lemme just say i am not happy with either of them!!!!

we'll be leaving at about 930-i hope!-for the reunion and not sure when we'll get home-after reunion we have a cemetery to walk to find relatives- we have at least 26 people there. will be a long day for roxie-half tempted to take her with us- reunion is at an outdoor park....she rides well....i could scoop poop i guess....

my granddaughter reports that callie cat is living in her mom's walk in closet and lovin it!! her kitty bed, food and water are right there!amber goes in right after school every day to check on her- callie ventures out to the kitchen but maggie (dog) wants to get acquainted and callie retreats! it sounds like it will be alright!

oh-btw--i still haven't started cleaning the back bedroom- heck mom won't get here til tomorrow!!!! why do yesterday what i can put off til tomorrow???? oh gosh-i am my own worst enemy sometimes!!!!

julia- your story about mom the gambler brought laughter and tears to me..scary thoughts too! and i am sorry to read about yet another OFFer with a furbaby on borrowed time- it's something we know will eventually come but it's not any easier!!!!

hugs and prayers for everyone! special wishes for all the sistahs to have safe trips back home from dallas-oh my i wish i could have been there this time-

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning OFF friends,

Wow, so many early birds on a Sunday morning - lol - I checked in earlier, but did not post as I started working.  Just took a break and sipping on some Unjury chicken soup.

Not too much happening, except the weather has finally cleared up.  Maybe we'll get outside and do some cleaning up for the fall.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Sunday Morning all!

I might be interested in a Branson weekend....been wanting to go for several years now....

Seems funny not to be at church this morning, I actually went to our Saturday nite service last evening.

Had a nice long day with my sis yesterday.  Hadn't spent any time with her for several months.  Her hubby has lymphoma and is hospitalized right now with other problems, so we visited him, then had a nice lunch and did a bunch of shopping.  Long day, but great time.

Off to do my shopping that didn't get done yesterday at Kroger and Wal Mart.  First, I will stop and get my flu shot - the local visiting nurses have a "drive thru" flu shot clinic and it's so convenient.

Have a lovely day, fall is here - we have trees turning color already.
