Yes Millie, that's exactly what it is.....they started this 3 or 4 yrs ago and it's great.....you fill out your form and give your Medicare card or $30 and as you go around the semi-circle you pull up and a nurse comes to your car window and gives you the shot......I think it's actually pretty neat.....I asked about the H1N1 flu shots and the nurse said they haven't received info from the Fed. Government on it yet.

 Ohhhhh  Pat,

I imagine it is easy but it just struck me as funny.  Seems everything is drive thru or the fast lane....

Good morning all.  So sorry the gals visiting Dallas got to experience nothing but rain as far as the weather goes.  We had had no rain for months, and now it has been raining for three straight days.

My dogs have been whining all night long.  They whine when they want to go out.  Then, I bring them to the door and they turn and run back in.  Finally, at 4AM, I got an umbrella and leash and took Pride out.  Flyte came out willingly.  I stayed out there for ten minutes in ankle deep water while they did their business.

We are getting up to go to Sunday School and Church.  Then coming home.  I decided I am not subjecting Mary to sitting out in the rain, hoping for a ball game to be played.  If it was just me, I would be out there.  And she would be so acceptable to me going alone.  But I place a lot of emphasis on the little time we get to spend together.  I work a lot of hours.  Sleep when I can.  So our weekends are important to me, to spend time with her.

I looked outside, and I really don't see how they can play today anyway.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Despite the rain..I'll bet the ladies had a great time!!!  I can't wait for Annette to come home and tell us all about it!

Its finally sunny here...I need that extra vit D so I guess I'll find a reason to be outside today.  I do need to do all of the things we do on week ends..laundry, balance the checkbook (UGH), vacuum,  I just hate doing housework.

Maybe we (my granddaughter and I) can take a ride a see how the apples are coming.  Its about that time.

I know I should be getting ready for winter..but I don't want it to come.  I'm just beginning to feel warm again!!!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday...I actually look forward to going back to school tomorrow.  Have lots to do to prepare for my inservice.

   Keep smiling!

I am leaving soon for a breakfast at the local VFW. I am meeting several friends and that will be fun.

Yesterday there was a benefit for my friend Kelly...there was a great turnout. I think they did pretty well.

Sure is wonderful being single again....I am enjoying not babysitting him anymore!!!

Have a great day!! Prayers to those in need.

Good  morning OFF
We have a gorgeous day here in Michigan.   I love this time of year.
Hubby is working 12 today so we are in for a grumpy evening!    I am making him a pork roast w/ onions, carrots and mushrooms  will make some garlic bread.    then simply leave him alone.   He lets me know if he wants anything.  that's the best way to handle tired grumpy men in this household!   My tired grumpy man anyway!!
Something new for us today and wonderful!      break though with my little charge Bitty Boots.   Her grandpa (and her abuser)   found out she was here and came after her,   Bitty Boots was out in the back yard and saw him first.  she came charging in right past Mary (My babysitting angel)  myself and right straight to Steve!   Shes been terrified of Steve.   of all men.   She literally climbed Steve  clung for dear life and demanded that he  MAKE HIM GO
 AWAY RIGHT NOW!!
Our little Bitty Boots who barely squeaks or moves!     Police came for the bad guy all is well here and I now have a chatterbox here who is determined to cook for her new hero!    So she gets to wash the carrots and mushrooms  because that is the most important job making dinner!   (HEY  i cant have a 3 yo  peeling the onions with a sharp knife! )
Prayers going up for all those in need and for safe travel.   Have a great day and coming week everyone

 Jo,

You are a wonderfully spirited woman to help Bitty Boots.  I'm glad to hear she is doing so well with DH.  Grandpa should be *&%(@#* then publicly branded as an offender.

Yes, washing veggies is the most important job for dinner, especially for a 3year old.

Hug her for me too

Steve and I were made to be parents but God were never blessed  us with our own kids.   When we went into foster care we swore no child in need would be turned away.
It seems like  we have a gift for the injured child the babies who have been sexually abused and so damaged  some see no hope for them.   We are sometimes successful in loving life back into them.
We agree that the abuser should  be dealt with severely.  for both of us being fairly nonviolent,   we could turn very violent in defense of our babies!!!

Hugs from a friend you dont know were given!!   She  dont understand how someone she dont know can be a friend  but she loved the extra hug!!!!
