WHATS NEW FOR SUNDAY???
Oh Jan, a get together in the spring would be so cool.
Today, it is raining and nice and cool. In fact, I have my office window open and am hearing the rain drop****ting the tree. It is really nice.
I am doing some writing and getting projects that I've had started completed so I can get my new projects off to a good start. While I love teaching and love research, the worst part of planning tenure track is getting the publications out there and published; therefore, I spend a lot of time researching and writing. It's good, though.
Tomorrow, Kenny has his final test and they are already planning on doing surgery to remove part of his upper intestine that has these huge folds and inflammed areas that cannot heal. So, I'm sure after his test tomorrow, they will set him up for surgery. The test is to locate just where the areas are and how much of his intestine is involved. he is really eager to get rid of the pain so surgery is looking good for him right now.
Well, gotta get back to work. Took a short break to peruse the board and offer my two cents.
have a great day.

Still mending here...feeling very well. Yesterday was the first day I was so tired that I basically did nothing other than brew tea and re-heat food. It rained almost all day so it wasn't a bad day to get some rest. I suspect I pushed myself too much this week and it just all caught up with me yesterday. I also had a bad night sleep Friday night so that may have contributed to it. Feeling stronger this morning.......I swept the floors this morning after fixing breakfast.
Getting a little antsy about the house needing dusting and toilets cleaning but trying to ignore it for a couple more days.
I go back to the surgeon on Tuesday for my first post-op appointment in his office (he came to see me in the after care facility) and I'm a little nervous about it because all the steri-strips will come off and I'll have to look at the raw incision...I'm a wuss with looking at the wounds.
Guess it's time to warm something for lunch........not sure what I want but I'll go peek at what leftovers I have in the fridge.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day

I was so tired yesterday by the time Kayden went home...he was only here for about 4 hours....I did nothing for the rest of the day. In fact Bill and I neither did anything. We didn't even fix dinner....Bill went to Wendy's and go chili for dinner. Now if that isn't bad I don't know what it. ha ha But ask me if I care...nope! Not one bit!
Today is being spent at home working on stuff around here. It seems like I have lost the umph to pack stuff up and take them to the storage unit. I can't expect the stuff to pack itself so I really need to start on that again. i am going to start doing some of the stuff in the kitchen cabinets since there is so much that I don't use in them. So I see no reason why they can't get packed up and out of here for the remaining months. This sure is an easy way to clean the house too...just pack it up and take it to storage. ha ha
It is sunny and warm today. It is just nice having the sun shinning. I can do just about anything as long as the sun is shinning. I just don't like the humidity..I can take the heat...I love it now but the humidity is another thing. I don't think I will ever be able to take that stuff.
I best get going. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone too. Have a great day and don't forget to smile. Spreading our joy and happiness to others is a good thing.
It is raining here in
Dallas and has been for 2 days now. I feel lke I am in Noahs Ark!!!!!
So I will talk to you all later.

After we get the hay up, the DH says I have to close the pool. That always makes me so sad. But, it needs to be done before I head off to Disney with the grands next month.
Jan,
I thought you had a young couple renting? Did that not work out or do you have two rental properties? I'd love to say I'd be in Branson for sure. I could combine it with the trip to visit the elderly Arkansas relatives that I really need to do.
The only thing that might prevent me from going is IF we have a grandbaby due. Nothing in the oven yet, but they are "working" on it. I know your neck of the woods would be absolutely beautiful when the dogwoods and red bud trees are blooming.
I've been out of the loop. How did Joe's surgery go? Hope he is mending nicely.
Where are you and Joe heading this winter?
