I'm glad it was good news ... no cause for worry, which is usually the case with cysts (I have one cyst, one fibroid, plus I'm having a hysteroscopy in October ... not worried one bit. I figure if it's cancer, it's cancer ... I'm really more worried about diabetes.)

Good luck on the back surgery.

I am diabetic & right now doing pretty good. I am still worried about my BP being too high. I think my Dr. need to change my meds, I think I have been on these too long.
It has come down, but, not anywhere it should be.
With the diabetis I stay pretty much low-carb & that works better for me than the
typical diabetic diet. Probably because of the WLS.
Keep us posted regards to your surgery date.

It's Oct. 16 and it's just an outpatient procedure, no anesthesia, I'm still going to work that night (I think ... we'll see!).

I worry a lot about diabetes because I had two uncles who lost feet/legs to diabetes, one who was blind, two friends who were diabetics, one who lost a leg, was on dialysis, was blind, eventually died of congestive heart failure; and then there was Margie ... she had a kidney transplant (successful), but even then, her heart failed suddenly. Diabetes, even well controlled, winds up in organ failure. And it runs in my family. It's a horrible disease. It's the main reason I got WLS, because I knew I was doomed to get it if I didn't lose weight.

Cancer also runs in my family ... colon, ovarian (closely related) ... so I am concerned about those, but like I said, more concerned about diabetes, which is a real killer, even when it's under control.
