What a fabulous weekend!! I finally got to meet some of the OFF sistahs in person & renew friendships from 2 years ago. What a "recharging" time it was with my Dallas Sistahs!
It was also good that I had something planned - this past weekend was the one year anniversary of Hurricane Ike. I'm not sure I would not have just hidden away in the house this past weekend and watched all the "Ike Revisited" specials on t.v. so, THANK YOU, SISTAHS for keeping my mind off the hurricane destruction.
{{{{Hugs}}}} and prayers to all who need 'em. I'm off to pack my protein lunch and snacks for the day, vitamins and water. Everyone have a great Monday!!

If you'd been home for the weekend, the trauma of the ceiling might have done you in. I'm so glad you were with us, instead.
It was so much fun talking to you. I really like your attitude!!!
Jan S will be getting the pictures soon, and will be making them available for viewing. Look out, girl !

How bad do I look?!?!?

Maybe I should make a disclaimer NOW - I was influenced by all y'all

Texas was wonderful and the weather made things even better, in my humble opinion, but what I came away with was a renewed commitment to be here, as life has a way of sidetracking us and I need all of you and even think I might have something to offer, as once upon a time I felt humbled by the wealth of experience here.
Welcome to those of you I have yet to greet, as I've been busy with the life WLS has given me and not met some of you and I look forward to the opportunity to learn about your journeys. This is wonderful board of people who will share what they've learned along the way, as well as always looking for new things to learn from one another. We share in each other's joys and support one another in our challenges and that is what this board is about and I am thrilled to be a part of something that is so positive!
Today, I am awaiting the workers that are coming to blow insulation in the walls of this "old" house of mine, as house in the 50s had plaster walls with nothing in between them, so hopefully this will make my home warmer and more green in the process, after they get here, I am off to work, where I am sure to find a whole lot of work waiting for me, hope to get to an AA meeting this evening and then spend the rest of my night snuggling with my 4-legged guy, who was very happy when his Momma arrived home last night. . .
Hope you each have a wonderful day!
Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Boy, did I sleep well! The drive back from Dallas was pretty rough, lots and lots of heavy rain through the biggest part of Texas, then it cleared again, only to start up again when I hit Arkansas. It's okay, I finished my audio book "Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day". Wonderful story, just the right thing after a weekend with the girls.
I laughed until I cried, learned so much from so many wise women, and stepped out of my WLS box by not weighing twice a day or journaling every bite. Jeeze.....life didn't come to an end, either! I found that it's okay to enjoy a weekend without fear of what "might" happen and that Monday is the beginning of a new week back on track. It was a wonderful lesson for me. As I told the sistahs when I left, I took home so much more than I went with and none of it was in my suitcase!
Okay, time to get back to reality. Saint Bella calls....Tess did an AMAZING job getting most of our products listed, now we have 25 different products there. Thank goodness!!! It's been a long wait, but hopefully worth it.
Our Chargers are playing the Raiders tonight on Monday night football, but not until 9:15 our time...AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Good thing I don't go in until later in the day tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Hugs to all!
I forgot......today is my 3rd surgiversary!!!! Maintaining at 126-128 for two full years now. Thank you WLS

Susan
