Wednesday-what's new revue!
Good morning all...!
Its 5:31am here and I'm just drinking my protein shake and mentally preparing myself for another long day of chasing kids and reading about the early explorers. I just love school!!!!
Finally after having no pay check since the end of June we get one tomorrow. I'm sure its gone already..or will be as soon as it hits the checkbook.
Hope everyone has a good day..its supposed to be sunny here, right now its cold. Then a few days of rain again..oh I wish summer lasted longer..(sigh).

Margo - good vibes are headed your way.
Two support group people has WLS yesterday. After work I'll stop to visit and give them their WLS piggies.
Which reminds me to order another dozen. Our surgeon seems to be performing more surgeries lately.

It's going to be chilly today. I will stay warm in a new red jacket. (thank you Marcy

Kisses

Good morning, ya'll. Clear liquids for me til midnight. NOTHING after that.
This will me my last visit here for a week or so. My DD and DIL and I head for Greenville in a few hours. We are going up today because: 1) my surgery is the first in the AM and we don't want to have to drive up at 4 in the morning. 2) I have to begin drinking that lovely lemon flavored Mag Citrate at 3 PM and I want to be settled in the motel before that begins. I have to drink a bottle at 3 and 1 at 5. It's carbonated so I have to shake it up and make it flat first, too.
I have convinced my DH NOT to go. He does not sit and wait well. He can be very crabby if things don't go smoothly. The girls would be going nuts just trying to be sure he was fed on time (he is a diabetic and his numbers haven't been good lately) and that he is close enough to a bathroom to get there fast when he needs to. He is very high maintance. He doesn't drive. I would be worried all day about whether he is being taken care of, or driving the girls crazy. I'm sure my sister would say I'm being selfish and just want everyone concentrating on me and not distracted by someone else. She may be right.
At any rate. The liver resection begins first thing Thursday morning. I am prepared for a week in the hospital, but not happy about it! I have a very hard time just lying in bed and doing nothing! I have plenty of books so I hope they will keep me from being too bored. Then 3 weeks recovery at home. Again, I am not sure I can just veg at home for 3 weeks.
I am thinking of using magic marker to write on my chest that I have the lapband DO NOT put anything in my esophogus. I haven't met with an anestheseologist yet, but I will be sure to mention it many times, when I do. The surgeon said he was sure he could stay well away from it. He Better! I really need my band!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Take my positive thoughts and prayers with you and I hope your recovery will go better than has ever been known to happen!
Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

WOW, so many early birds here.
Margo - LOL - swinging chickens for you! Good luck with the showing. Every time I read about the chicken swinging it makes me laugh - lol - never heard that before coming to OFF - lol - sorry you had an episode of hypoglycemia. Feel better soon.
Connie, I'm sorry you are feeling so badly. Please drink lots of fluids and feel better soon. If you aren't feeling better today, be sure you get to the ER as instructed. Prayers coming your way!
