I find there are some foods that cause more problems then others. High fat will definitely cause not just malodorous problems but will also cause the problem to occur frequently through out the day. Makes for a bad day.
Carbohydrates and vegetables will cause large (and I mean LARGE) amounts of gas. I made homemade vegetable beef soup last week and even the cats would not sleep with me. I got up in the morning to find my husband and both cats on the living room sofa because of the odor I was emitting.
So, I am watching my foods and everyone gets to sleep in bed.

Aloha Jani.......I can't believe no one suggested lighting a match!!! Or having a candle burning when you leave after make big stinko in your bathroom. I have been doing that for years!! Don't just light the match, but let it burn for a bit because the smoke that come which you shake it or blow it out is what clears the air of the smell.
To every problem, there is a solution...........and I have learned SO MUCH from this little family................best there is!!

I use to work in the farming community, and I sold a product that was aimed at cattle feed lots that get a lot of complaints from the city slickers that lived close.
It seems that the smell from the cattle is due to the undigested protein in their poop. I don't know if it made their bodies digest better or just disguised the smell.
We had small bottles of the product to give to potential clients to use on their dogs. Just a few drops of the liquid on the dog food, and amazing, no more dog poop smell.
This sold a lot of product. I remember my wife wanted to try it on me, but I knew my poop didn't stink, and the product was not FDA approved.
I think I will check around and see if it is still being sold. I could probably sell black market to RNY's
