Good Morning Margo & All the Rest of Youse Guys! (lol)
Anyway, TGIF, TGIF, did I remember to tell you TGIF. . .
I've had a week that has flown by, work is really exhausting these days and then this morning I got ready and had a little spare time, sat down at my computer to find that the monitor is not working, OMG! Whatever am I going to do now?!!! Perhaps I'll get some stuff done around the house, though I will try to see if it works when I get home and if not, I need to decide what to do, as in the not too distant future is a flat screen television purchase that I can supposed hook my computer to, also the possibility of a laptop, so do I need to buy a new monitor, I also have my old one in the attic, so I might go up and see if that will do for the meantime.
Anyway, I have lots on the agenda for the weekend and it all involves house upkeep, the lawn, flower beds, need to powerwash the front porch and siding, think I don't have to worry about how I'm going to get my physical activities in this weekend and then I hope to find some time to visit with the grands and have some social activities with friends. I cannot believe we are a little more than a week from October!!! Can I say that this has been the fastest 3 months of my life? Well I guess that covers me for the moment. Hope you all have a great day and if for some reason I can't get online this weekend, ENJOY!
Prayers for those of you in special needs right now and love and positive thoughts too!
Hugs, Laureen

Today is my Saturday. I take care of "princess" Sunday thru Thursday. Tomorrow is her birthday, she is 9 going on 18. I can't believe all the drama these little girls go through. LOL I think the Good Lord knew what he was doing when he blessed me with boys.
I have so much to do in the next few days. I'm not sure what projects to work on. First is canning again. I picked up peaches, mango and plums to make chutney. I love love love getting creative with the chutneys, salsas, and condiments. I give them away at Christmas time.
Our weather has been gorgeous. This fall has been a wonderful time for me.
Also, my oldest sister has recuperated enough that she will be home Monday. Not necessarily a good thing. My Bro in law has alienated so many people and her friends are not allowed in the house.... OMG Who is going to help her? Strange cir****tances for sure. Has Mom worried some especially since she can't go there to help out.
This is my day and I'm sticking to it...... lol.... maybe.
Have a wonderfully fun and happy day

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
Gee I was just getting to bed when you were posting. Now that I actually have to work til 2 a.m., I don't get to sleep til 4 or so. And I didn't get up til nearly noon when the phone rang. It was my cleaning lady wanting her money (which I have).
So I'm sitting here and I blow my nose and a little blood is coming out of the left nostril. I haven't had a bloody nose for awhile. It's not gushing out, but it's just annoying. I'm sure it's because it's a little dry ... allergy problems. It seems to have stopped now. I used to have major problems with nose bleeds in college ... once, I was walking to class with a classmate and it was gushing down my chin ... my classmate took me to the health center (this is a woman who wrote Late Nite Cathecism, if you've seen that play ... it's hilarious ... it's played in several venues). The stupid nurse tells me to eat Jello to stop nosebleeds. A few days later, after eating Jello with every meal, I have another major nose bleed and go back to the health center. And I tell another nurse about the Jello cure ... she just starts laughing ... Jello doesn't cure nosebleeds, she tells me. Well, I said, tell that to your other nurse! Anyway, the nosebleeds basically stopped after I got out of the campus housing with the dry heat. Every now and then I get them again.
This is not my "Friday" because I have to work Saturday. I only have Sunday off, then work a regular Monday-Friday schedule, then have 10 whole days off! Can't wait. I'm so tired. I may not leave the house (well, at least for the first two days!)
Have a good day.

Eileen.....I know all about nasty nosebleeds....mine came on all of a sudden..... quite a few years ago....I had it for 7 days....they tried to burn it...pack it..burn it...pack it...and on and on. I couldn't sleep because there was so much blood in my throat choking me....I could get into nore detail but I won't....they finally did emergency surgery on a Sunday....I couldn't hardly walk by then I was so weak!!!!
Hope you never have to experience that....it scared the hell out of me!!
Love ya....hugs....connie d

Hi Margo and everyone else.
Feeling a bit better today......last couple of days were a bit rough.........nowhere near back to normal but doing well. Can't wait to get the drain out of my side.....it's been long enough and starting to become bothersome.
Finding it difficult to have any interest in cooking, which I normally enjoy doing. I guess since I have basically no appetite.
Still looking for a job and starting to think maybe I'll go out and do something on my own. Gotta do a little research on what it will take to get it started.
Best wishes to all........hugs to those how need them

Hopefully each day will bring you closer to normal. I'm sure it'll be worth it in the long run. I've never had to deal with a drain, but from what everybody says they're a pain in the butt. How long does it have to stay in?
I'm sitting here waiting for hubby to come up tonight. He's bringing my lawn tractor so I can cut the grass. We bought it used and got lots of attachments with it. I hope it's easy to drive.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

The surgeon originally thought the drain would be at day 5 or 7 but I was still putting out too much fluid. I went there on Tuesday and was doing about 25-30 cc's a day and he said nope.... I understand why......if he takes the drain out the fluid will stay in me and could build up to the point he has to drain it with a giant needle. Trust me, I'd rather the keep the drains an extra week!!!!!!!!
FYI - I LOVE my tractor.....I named it "Moe".
I love to drive it around....
