Good morning Eileen and everyone.....

It is a cool crisp morning but a promise of 80 degrees later today. I will get outside today for sure!!

I actually went for a walk yesterday afternoon. I made it around two blocks....slower walking but I made it. Not bad for my first day out!!

I think the flu is finally letting go of me....I actually have some energy this AM!! I know better then to overdo...don't want a replay of this last week.

No other plans for today...might go tanning ...that sounds good!

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Margo....I am still sending prayers your way and also for Linda S.

Love and hugs everyone.....connie d

Stayed in bed until almost 8 a.m. -- that's late for me, just didn't feel like getting up.

Have started cleaning house - my bedroom and bathroom done so far,
cat box dumped and new litter put in, a load of undies in the washer....need to wash bathroom rugs too.    It's around 50 here this morning and I think it's to be in the mid 70's today.  Today starts our local county fair and they are predicting rain Sunday thru Wednesday -- always seems to happen fair week.

My kids came for a quick supper last evening - made turkey taco salad and fried apples w/walnuts.   There were no left overs!!!

Prayers for Margo to get that house sold.....and hugs and special thoughts to those in need.

Better finish my decaf and get busy now.   Have a great weekend.

Heya gang....

Lessee.... first, the back problem. I felt good enough to go to the Workers Comp Doc-In-A-Box and get him to lift almost all the work restrictions he had on me... he lifted all the hour restrictions but left the lifting restriction in place...no problem there; I am so paranoid about having to go through that kind of pain again that I am now the poster child for Safe Lifting! .... I still have not received a dime from Workers Comp... even had to go to our church and get help paying my car payment... I am back on full time now so that problem will resolve itself with a couple of full paycheck.
.... so, anyhoo, I am doing a lot better now!

Feet... I am telling ya... I can't seem to find a shoe/insert combo that will let me work all day without my feet killing me! It just seems like there is not a steel toe shoe out there that is actually comfortable... I have one pair that is comfortable but does not provide enough support, so my feet are killing me for 3 days after wearing them... then another pair that kills my feet all day, but after I take them off my feet don't hurt any more and feel fine the next day.... huh???? ..... anyhoo, still searching for the Holy Grail... err.. shoe/insert combo

The puppy... Lucy-The-Dachshound-From-Hell .... well, she finally got house broken... so I got a carpet cleaner and worked on my carpet... wow, looked like I had installed new carpet! ... so what does Lucy do?... gets on the coffee table (with those little stubby legs???) and gets one of my wifes eyebrow liner thingie pencils... and chews it into a million pieces... so what does my wife do?... tries to vacuum it up... huge black lines as far as the eye can see.... *sigh* .... still working on this... that is some tough stuff to get out of carpet!

Work is going well now that I can work full time... they have announced that there is a reorganization in progress that will end up adding about 14 new positions.... and hopefully yours truly can snag one of those and make some more coconuts per hour.... keep your fingers crossed.

I am gonna go put some laundry in, and work on some wood while it spins and agitates and does all that stuff....

I hope y'all (<---- southern word) have a great day!

Hey OFF friends,

Margo - good luck with the house showing!  Positive vibes coming your way!

Connie - so glad you are starting to feel human....gosh, I hate feeling badly, but guess everyone does - lol

Everyone else - have a great Saturday!

Not too much going on here.  I'm working for another hour or so.  I'm going to try and get outside today and enjoy this beautiful fall weather!  I should check the tomatoes and see if they are any good for canning.  I hate to see good tomatoes go to waste.

Hi All!

Gotta say I'm not missing all that cold weather many of you are talking about.  It's still in the 90's here.  My parents said it in the 60's the other morning by them (Long Island, NY); burrr.

My surgery swelling is going down.  I lost 2.5 lbs this week.  Very happy about that!   I can't wait for the swelling to be all gone so I can see the final results of my tummy tuck.  I spoke to the Surgeon's office yesterday, they will definitely be taking the drain out on Monday.  YIPPEE!!!

We are planning on taking a ride south of us to St. Petersburg........it will be a long time in the car but I think I'm up for it and getting out of the house will be a nice change.  I've been cooped up in here for almost 3 weeks.  I'm hoping we will have time to stop at the furniture store too...still need to get furniture for the dinning room, family room, and master bedroom.

Matthew is making fillet mignon tonight for dinner....I'm looking forward to it.....my appetite is starting to come back.  I think I'll make my world famous browned potatoes for him since he loves them.  The left overs will be good with eggs tomorrow for breakfast.

Today I'm trying to unpack all the linens and get them into the closet.  Nothing too strenuous.

Hope you all have been having a great day!
TTFN
