Aloha sweet Annette.......Thanks so much. Home never looked so good. The "cat herding" was NOT fun. I actually had to get tough on both of them....one (Poki) while getting ready to take them upcountry, and the other one (Nicky) when I went to pick them up. I don't want to go through that again anytime soon!!

Joey loved the carrier? Isn't that amazing how different cats can be!! Some are so friendly and happy to see people, and mine only come out when friends who visit all the time are here, but otherwise, it's under the bed. My son says he doesn't think I really have any cats because he's never seen them when they visit!! Ha!

Hope you are feeling good...........and getting lots of furbaby love!!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Aloha Sheri.......thank you for the welcome home. It is so good to be back!!

I'm glad the wow moment**** home with you. That happened so often as I was going down the scale....I would read about wows and think I'd never be able to do this or that......and I kept on and now I have wows, too!!

I'm so glad things went well, and that you're home with your babies again.  I envision you having to "stuff" them into carriers, and I sympathise.  I'll never understand how a 20 lb. cat can cheerfully try to cram itself into a little tiny child's size shoebox, but resist so vehemently getting into a nice, comfy, roomy cat carrier.

I guess that's why they're the masters and we're the servants.  We will never understand them.  And that's OK.  That's the way it's supposed to be....

So pleased that you're back home.

It was wonderful talking to you....

Candy

Aloha dear Candy.......Ah, so good to see your face and read your words. It is good coming home!

Cats are amazing creatures. I used to think I would write a book about "perspectives" and use a cat's perspective vs. a human's perspective as an example. Cats are SO FAR SUPERIOR than us, especially physically. Can you imagine jumping 10 times your hight? My little Poki can get from the floor to the kitchen counter in one easy jump! Also, they see what we can't and smell...omigod........they smell everything and seem to have some decision making process that goes on based on smell. Pretty awesome. They can also be pills! MY Poki hasn't stopped "talking" since she got home. She just meows and meows and I don't know why.

Anyway..so glad to see you!!

Aloha nui loa,

Termite Tenting! Oh, Goodness....when I first read about the 'tenting' I must have been speed reading, I thought you were taking the kitties to the spa then you were going camping up north in the lush bushes!!

I thought of you earlier....I got a delivery of some tropical print fabric I ordered. It's got lush philodendron foliage, orchids, birds of paradise and all kinds of palms on it. I always think of your smiling face when I see fabric like this...and I'm getting quite a collection!

So glad to see everything is sorta back to normal for you.

Yippee!! I am so glad to hear you are home sweet home again, what an inconventient ordeal. Not as bad as losing the building to termits tho. I had a huge stump in the back yard when I moved in here 8 years ago, I used to put pots on it, in 8 years it has been completely eaten and now the little pests are working on the garage and the land lord doesn't even seem to care. Sorry you are going to lose your plants, I am kind of loony about my plants, breaks my heart to lose any.Kitties adapt, but usually give some "attitude" for a few day. Glad all went well and you are safe and sound. Blessings

Aloha sweet friend........Thanks for your kind words. I was a little ticked about the plants, but I guess getting them off the lanai will give me a chance to really clean it.....they do make a dirty corner that is difficult to get to.

My kitties are acting differently.......they sleep WITH ME on my bed now every night....not out near the glass slider where there's a cool breeze. I think it was good for them to get out now that it's over.....their world was very small.

I can't believe your landlord is letting the termites take your home...and they will!! We were told our penthouse units which are framed in wood would eventually collapse.....the damage was so bad. Now they are putting in new framing and roof.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
