What is New Its Sunday Sept 20, 2009
Since returning from Dallas the cats have been my constant shadows. They are suffocating me, day and night. In the wee hours of dawn, Tony was 'making bread' on my chest, then decided to bite my lips. His version of a 
kiss. Oh dear, I smacked him and then felt terrible. What a mean Momma. I never ever hit them. Now I will have to be extra nice.
We went for a country ride. I drank 20 oz of water and a large coffee. Tom was wise and didn't dilly dally on the way home. I thought I was going to bust

Whew! Debbie, I'm exhausted just reading about your life. I seem to do less and less all the time, and here you are, running around like the Energizer bunny!
It's nice that you're so involved with Planned Pethood. I know what an animal lover you are. All three of my furbabies have been rescues. There's so much involved on the foster parents' part. Everyone wants kittens and puppies, but the older animals are often such loves...
I knew you were maybe looking for a roommate, but are you thinking about a couple instead? The way your house is set up, that would probably work out well. I know you worked hard to get both bathrooms up and running. You work so hard, girl...
Nothing much on the agenda for me this weekend. Some yard work Friday, sort of lazy yesterday, just reclaiming the house. When I left for my trip, everything was all straightened up, same when I got home. Within 12 hours of my return it looked like a bomb went off in the kitchen and family room. I'm just getting everything back to normal. Or as normal as it gets around here...
I go in to the new job for evening shift orientation this afternoon, then days tomorrow, then my regular 3p-11p after that. I'm looking forward to not having to set an alarm every night, but am a bit afraid I won't get anything at all done at home. I guess time will tell.. I haven't been getting much done around here working days, so I guess it doesn't matter much. Working evenings would cut into my social life, if I had one. As it stands, it won't make much difference there, I guess.
I'm keeping up with reading the posts, but so seldom feel I have anything to add. My thoughts are with those who need them. I miss my Sistahs already. And those Sistahs I've never met in person...

Carla, I finally looked at your avatar and very much agree with George that you need a new one. You do look much younger in person. Maybe one of the Dallas pictures?
Annette mentioned her kitties behavior after her return. My 11 year old Smokey Baby has been super needy. He gets really upset when I go out the door even to get the mail and is right at the door waiting on the few occasions I have left my apartment this past week.
Houston weather is supposed to cool down with a high in the 80's and a low in the 60's. That will be a relief after mid 90's to 100's since May.

Boy, it's cool today ... 64 and looking a little overcast. It's the last weekend of summer, but the nip of fall is in the air. This is my only day off til my 10-day vacation begins. I'm really tired, too, so I have no big plans. Just sitting at home, watching football, baseball, doing laundry, trying to rest up for the week ahead.
Work was pretty easy last night but I was so pooped I kept wanting to put my head down on the desk and take a nap. I really was tired. And then my knees and back hurt, too. Couldn't wait to get home and ice my knee and back (my back hurt so much my left big toe was going numb). Kind of was keeping me up at night, even though I was tired. Time for a back injection soon (in October, that's was scheduled).
Well, coffee (Casi Cielo) is done brewing, so I'm off to read the paper and ice my knee. Have a good day.

A beautiful sunny Sunday here again. I'll never tire of this wonderful weather. Gary came up this weekend with our new Garden Tractor with all the neat attachments. I rode it around the yard a few times and had a ball on it. He says it's our anniversary gift to each other. OK by me. We had a real nice time and did some running around yesterday. Ordered a new Pella Doorwall and a new garage door with opener, so hopefully they'll be installed soon. Gary said I've done a good job unpacking, but the clutter needs to go away. That's a real problem because that's why it's clutter, I don't know where to put it. He put it all on the dining table, so if I want to eat there I'll have to clean it off.
I'm not getting in all my water again, dizzy.... Today I'm bound and determined to get in my 64 oz. When it's cool I don't need to hydrate as much and the water just seems to fill me up. Looks like I'll be having two protein shakes today to supplement my food protein intake. I'm having a real hard time trying to get in enough protein just through food. I think I'll be taking protein shakes for the rest of my life. Luckily, I don't mind them.
Slept like a log lastnight. 10 hours!

I am into week 3 of the semester and feel as if I never had a summer off. I love my job and my students (well, most of them!), but this is getting harder as I get older. I'm hoping the wls will let me enjoy teaching more.
Nothing going on here today but preparing for classes for the week and a little gardening and enjoying my two bosses (dogs).

Good afternoon everyone!! Sorry its afternoon...I didn't get a chance to post this morning..I've been very busy.
I went grocery shopping , then came home to laundry and I just made a yummy apple /peach crisp and am baking a chorizo quiche right now. In a little bit I will be driving to Cortland to pick up my granddaughter from her dad's house and then back home..(A 2 hour trip to and back),
