Quick fly by with my hair on fire this morning! The first cold front of the season has made it's way to the Texas coast this morning. LOTS o rain on the way to work and a seasonal headache too!!
I have an early day today - going to see Mom at the nursing home for the "Sept Birthday" celebration today. I'm hoping the rain lets up before I leave at 1pm.
Gotta get back to the grind [W.O.R.K] - hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

well i got the tire fixed this morning...actually the lugnut and post replaced that the tire place broke when i got the new tires. still not sure what to do about the extra 1000 miles they added on for the tire warranty!!!! they told me they couldn't change that...maybe i should call BBB??? any ideas???
got called into work for the 4-9 shift today...5 extra hours so thats cool!!! need all the money i can get...christmas is coming fast!!! rick wants a weight bench and those don't come cheap...
last night i had a craving for a milk shake...yuppers i went and got one...drank it all up and OMG was i ever sick! will i get another one??? HELL NO!!!!!! i had the poops...throwing up...cold sweats and then up all night long with the wattery runs...i took some pepto bismol and now i have a black tongue!!! that has NEVER happened to me before...tongue looks gross!!! i should know better then to drink the whole shake!!! i learned my lesson the hard way and like i said i will NOT do that again!!! :-(
when i had bandit out this morning i saw this HUGE bird fly up to a branch in tree and i am not sure what kind of bird it was...got the binoculars out and looked but still not sure what it is...all i know is it IS HUGE!!! didn't look like any kind of a hawk...had long legs and a short beak...don't think it was a crane either but it was HUGE!!!! hope it doesn't come after me....lol

Dishwasher has been on the fritz. Naturally, I had it loaded to the hilt when it wouldn't work so I had to do about an hours worth of dishes in the sink. Repairman came yesterday and it's going to cost $300 to fix. He needs to replace the touch pad panel. The touch pad panel is at the top of the door so when you close the door, the panel is hidden. The repairman said this is a flawed design because the touch pads always are exposed to too much moisture. He said it doesn't matter the maker, they all go fast. Wish I'd known that when we bought it for $569 less than two years ago. Of course it's out of the warranty period.
Looking forward to seeing my newest granddaughter on Oct. 9. We are already making plans for seeing my son, dil and all the grands at Christmas. It will be wonderful. We are looking into getting a motorhome to make it so we can visit more often. Between hotels and meals, a five day visit with the grands costs us a $1,000. (They have four kids in a three bedroom, one bath house so it's not good for us to stay with them.) If we spend around $10,000 for the motorhome, ten trips would have made it worthwhile. Besides, then we could take them with us on little vacations.
Not doing well with my eating. Not gaining, not losing. Need to increase my exercise and control my eating better. I think it has more to do with not exercising than the eating part.

Today is my first born son's 30th birthday. I called him on his cell at work to tell him happy birthday. He was in a managers meeting and his phone went off...his ring tone for me is "It's your mommy calling, pick up the phone, it's mommy, you can't hide from me, answer the phone, Mommy calling" It's real cute, but apparently he turned 5 shades of red before he could get the phone muted. I guess I gave him something to remember on his birthday.
I tried on some jeans today and got into size 16 again. I kept wondering why I was keeping those, but now I know. They're a bit snug, but not too snug. Another five pounds and they'll be fine. The 18's that I'm wearing now I don't even need to unbutton or unzip to take them off or put them on.
I needed something crunchy, so I'm eating pork rinds. There is 9 grams of protein in 1/2 an ounce!
I got a notice from PayPal today that a third party had accessed my account without authorization and got $200.00. I filed a fraud report and hopefully they'll get it all cleared up soon and put the money back on my charge card. I do not have a criminal mind and just can't understand people who feel they are entitled to something that doesn't belong to them. I usually try to make sure the site I'm going to has https:// or has the little lock to show it's secure. I can't say I always check it, but usually. Apparently I was lax at one time. Oh well, hopefully Good will prevail.
The fruit fly hatch is unbelieveable this year. I've never seen so many, they're simply awful!

I am feeling just miserable today. Last night my left knee started going out on me again. Right knee, back and head all hurt too. Sounds like a fibro flare-up (Connie would understand). Plus, when I was getting out of the car last night, as I twist to get up, I got a big shock into my big toe (this happens when the nerves in my back act up). Oh, it hurt like hell! I had ice packs on my back and both knees, then an afghan thrown over me to keep me warm after the ice packs. I was so miserable at work, I was in tears. I said I wanted to take vicodin, and Skinny Amy (this is the person who said obese people shouldn't have insurance pay for WLS because it was their fault they got fat) heard my remark and said, "Did you say you were going to take a vicodin?" I said, "No, Amy, I said I wanted to take a vicodin but can't, so I'm going to ice my knee instead and sit here in pain." I should know better than to say anything around Skinny Amy ... she's so judgmental. She probably already has me pegged as a drug addict. I'm only taking these because I'm in pain, not for any other reason. If there was something non-narcotic that I could take for my pain, I would. Quite frankly, I wish I wasn't always in pain. I really just wanted to go back to sleep today and spend the whole day in bed ... that's how miserable I felt. But I got up and I'll go into work. That's what I do.
The White Sox ... well, they've quit. They got shut out 7-0 ... they don't seem to have any life left in them. They need to do a little housecleaning after the season.
I watched Accidently on Purpose too ... not sure about that show. Couple new shows on tonight and later this week I want to see ... "The Good Wife" and "Flash Forward." I really liked "Warehouse 13" on SyFy that was on this summer and concludes tonight. Good offbeat show. And "Defying Gravity," which I guess they called a miniseries.
