Hi All,
Is today the first day of fall? You wouldn't know it here....still hitting the 90's!
I've been so cooped up in the house the last 3 weeks....it was so nice to get outside yesterday even though it was to go to the surgeons office.
The surgeon is thrilled with how I'm healing. I must say so am I. I LOVE the way the tummy looks. OH....he took my drain out...YIPEEE....being drain free feels so liberating! I don't really have pain....some occasional discomfort and a lot of numbness. I get tired easily especially if I over do it. I'm showering every other day because the whole process of getting the binder and the compression garment, and the bandages all off, shower, dry, apply neosporan (spl?) cream, put on bandages, put on T-shirt, but on compression garment, put on binder, put on compression bra (I had the girls lifted too), put on shorts or pj's just exhausts me!!!!!!! The binder is the most annoying part of it all, it's so stinking tight but it is temporary and I hope I have many many years ahead of me to enjoy the new body. :-)
We did stop at the furniture store on the back and found a dinning room set and 2 family room sets we both like. No bedroom sets really interest me yet. Now we just have to decide which of the family room sets we want and which wood finish we want for the dinning room and the family room tables. We also need to do a few measurements and then hopefully we will start ordering stuff.
It was nice to get out but it was almost 6 hours in total (3 hrs driving round trip) so I was pooped! I fell asleep about 10pm and did not get out of bed until 8am this morning!
Did a load of laundry this morning and swept the floors.....other than cooking I'm not doing anything else today.
I need a good book to read....finished the ones I have.....anyone have a recommendation? I prefer fiction (like Mary Higgins Clark) or true mystery stories....not into horror and gore.

I was at meeting at my corporate office in St. Paul all morning. I am so glad to finally be back home. The meeting was on sexual harassment in the workplace. Some of the things people file charges on are just unbelievable.....good grief!! Then on the other side some people need to be locked up!!
I have been on Perdnisone for almost two weeks. It is doing a number on my stomach. Almost everything I eat is now making me sick. I get stomach pain and reflux too. I am glad I only have 4 mores days to take it. Never again....I have also gained 2 pounds and I am not eating anything extra. I hate this medication! It has always caused me trouble. It is great with helping my lungs/breathing. My doctor always insists I take it when I have respiratory problems....ugh!!
Margo I am sorry about you hurting yourself. Hope it isn't fractured!
Where is Linda S....thought she was coming back on yesterday?
