What's New Thursday???
I got home from work at 11pm, played on the 'puter till I couldn't keep my eyes open, and crawled into bed nice and tired, looking forward to a nice night's sleep. Well, an hour later, and I'm wide awake. SOOOOO....thought I'd start the "What's New" for something to do.
My new job is going well. I'm not really doing much that's different, except working the evening shift. New locatoin, new people, but that's about it. I was due for a change, and I got it, sort of.
Later this morning I'm going to put together the makingas for one of my favorite soups. It's an Emeril recipe for a wild rice and sausage soup with a butternut squash base. Sounds yucky, but takes absolutely wonderful. I got the recipe from someone on the OFF board, and it's a hit whenever I make it.
It's actually the end of my work week, as I have Friday and Saturday off. Not much happening this weekend. The lawn needs mowning, and there's always Fall cleanup to be done.
Well, I got this thing started. Carry on. I'm trying for bed again. I'll catch up later.

Hi Candy and my OFF family:
I thought I was going to start it, as I'm waiting for "one more story" ... hopefully then I can go home. God, I'm tired. I don't know if I can see straight to edit another story. And this is a state budget story ... I'm sure I'm not up for that one. Already read one about Medicaid cuts and how that would affect the health care industry here. I'm too sleepy to think about budgets.

Well here I be..still wide awake. *s* and drinking a hot chocolate protein drink hoping the warm milk will make me sleepy. When I have a mission...lol..or I feel very strongly about something, I have difficulty winding down and going to sleep..tonight is one of those nights.
I'm staying home (today, Thursday)..I will be harvesting even more summer savoury leaves and filling my quart jars and I will also be making Concord grape jelly. And I do need to tour a local assisted living facility for Mother. The time is coming. At least if I can get her name on the list, even if she doesnt need it for a year, the process will have been started.
Today will be time to vacuum, bake some raisin bread for the guys and for Mother, make another pot of homemade hugh protein and high-roughage soup and finish my BPW chapter and provincial annual reports. and heaven knows what else presents itself for me.
I'm waiting to see when I am to start at the Wharton Clinic and when the local Holiday Inn's swimmimg pool is back open for business. It's 349.00 with the $50.00 registration fee waived for the year.
I was also just thinkimg about getting a few goats..we have an acre of grass & trees around the house and six more acres out back...hmmm. But right now Im feeling really lazy. So wll go now and work on the afghan I'm making for Danny black leather couch in their family room...the furnature is all black leather and this yarn is black/greys and white varicated. Danny actually ASKED for one since he falls asleep late at night in front of the TV. *s*
Had my monthly BPW meeting last night...all went well. Oh yes..I have one more book to study.
And another thing to do..Im working eith a friend who is creating a"serious game" for children's literacy so I am busy creating several highly-formulated sentences for the game's database.
OKay..maybe I can sleep now *s*...

Good morning everyone. A nice, cool morning in the Big D. 59 degrees. Will still be cool on Friday when the OH Conference starts (high of 82). High Saturday 87 and Sunday 92 (last home Rangers game of the year) before cooling down to the low 80s for a high temperature.
Watched "The Good Wife" last night. Not a bad show.
I was almost caught up, until last night's shows. All the ABC comedies, the two CBS comedies, Criminal Minds, Law and Order, Top Chef and who knows what else. Today I will watch the new ABC comedies. Make my judgement on them to decide if I want to continue taping them.

Its 5:30 here in NY and I'm exhausted. My schedule in school this year is crazy!!! I go from about 7am till 3:15..and I just go go go.
I'm having some tummy trouble too..but the Drs. are trying to figure out what is going on.
Can't wait for Friday..I need some down time and I'll spend Sat. with my granddaughter. She's in my picture with me. Maybe I'll take her to the movies.
Anyway...everyone have a great day. Mine is going to be BUSY!!!!!

Morning Off's
Just got home from Moms. She had a real bad night with her dementia and does better with one of us there, for some reason I seem to be the one for that duty. That's OK we all have our special thing we do for our folks. Night duty just seems to be mine.
My babysitting angel will be here at 7 so I can go to sleep for a few hrs before a couple of job interviews. Hope one of these turn out To be mine I really want the one job.
Every one sounds so busy!! hope all have a relaxing weekend.
MY Bitty boots wants egg bread for breakfast (french toast) so Ill go start while waiting for angel Mary to get here.

OMG....I hate having garage sales, but I am having one on Saturday. I have a sweet friend that I take care of since her Mother died in July...and she lives in an apartment. I arranged to have a storage locker she has been paying on for 4 years brought over to my garage last evening. She really has a lot of good stuff to sell, big bedroom set, cute little chests etc....now it is all about pricing and I am not sure about that. Will have to consult one of my daughter's girlfriends.
I have a busy day of work ahead, and garage sale stuff so I'd better get my workout in now. Missed it yesterday.
