What's New Thursday???

Good morning Candy & all,

My boss sent a note asking to meet with me. Silly me, got in a tizzy and stewed about that. Finally I asked if there was a problem. Nope, all she wants is to pair me up with another client. Those old insecurities never go away

Most of the time I like my hubby - yesterday was not one of those times. As I was applying lotion, I commented that it felt as if my skin was too tight. He looked me up & down, then said " Believe me --- it isn't". Maybe I will buy those high boots and a whip to go with them.

*cracks up* OMG, Annette! go for it! Men say the stupidest things sometimes! I can just see you with thigh-high leather boots, a black leather corset and a whip!! OMG!

and tell him...that he has to sleep SOMETIME and to be afraid..to be VERRRRY afraid! *LOL*

I got the boots today - only knee high though. My daughter gave me a Victoria's Secret gift certificate which might be the place for a black corset. <--- must get a good one of those.

He already knows that I can be evil when he sleeps.

I'm back.  I managed a few hours of sleep, but got up to the alarm at 8, as my cleaning angel will be here soon.  She just comes once in a hwile, mostly when I'm overwhelmed with the cat hair.  That would be today.

I have a dental appt in an hour, then a few errands.  Work this afternoon (maybe after a short nap), then 2 days of freedom.  Yay!

Now for farming and coffee.  Not necessarily in that order.....

Good Morning Candy and everyone......

I was supposed to drive back down to our corporate office in St Paul for an awards ceremony this morning but I am just not feeling up to it. The director told me to stay home and take care of me so I am. I still need to work from home but I can handle that.

Stayed home last night and just relaxed with a friend. It was a nice quiet evening.He made some soup for me and insisted I eat some. It was good but I couldn't eat much.
Hope today is a better eating day for me.

Nic, Jamie and Grace are on their way back home from Memphis' St Jude's Hospital. They left yesterday and made it about half way home. They left early this AM and are hoping to get back home by early afternoon.

My granddaughter Amanda has her Conformation ceremony this Sunday. Jamie, Travis, Nic and Grace were going to come to it but now can't because of all the flu going around. Nic can't be anywhere that he could get exposed. I am not even sure I will be making it there....I will have to see how I feel by then! Kyleigh was supposed to come home this weekend and now it doesn't look like she will be there either. She and several others at Gerard's Academy have the flu too.

Enough chatter from me....

Morning Miss Candy, how nice to see you bright and early this morning!

Today is my day off but it isn't. Our salon owner's daughter is getting married in a week so I'm going in to her color. Then, it's off to the surgeon's office for my 3rd yr check up. Got my labs back yesterday and they all look great (yes, even for us!) so I'm looking forward to a nice visit with Dr Gibbs.

We're hoping to get to the hospital to visit Tess' sister and new baby girl this evening. Can't wait to get my hands on that little one!

Well, before going to the salon I need to put up some SaintBella for the store, so I guess I better get a move on. Hope everyone is doing well, dealing with life no matter what it might be handing you today.

Good Morning Candy and the Rest of My OFF friends,

Good to see so many of you this morning and Candy, you need to share that recipe, cause it sounds rather yummy to me and I'm always looking for new soup recipes.

Nothing great happening in this part of the mid-Atlantic region, the sun is out, though we are having kind of humid weather, which will pass by tomorrow and I am looking forward to the end of my work week, as due to the Jewish holiday I have off on Monday, which will make room for more house projects to get done, though Saturday, Tony is coming down for the day, we are going to watch my grandson play soccer and then who knows what, though I do need to get to the outlets to buy a couple of outfits for Sunday's birthday celebration, as Vaughn turns 4 on Monday and they are having his b-day party first at a Farm for the kiddies and then back at the house for the adults, which really gives me Monday for whatall else I need to do, hoping the weather will work out so I can seal my front porch after having powerwashed it last weekend. . .

Well the rest of today is work, then an AA meeting and home to snuggle with dear old Dillinger.

I'm on the 9th day of my two-week pre-op liquid diet and it's going OK.  I get tired easily, so am trying to get extra rest.  It sure is quick to mix up or pop open a shake - no cooking or clean up!

I work today, tomorrow and Monday and then off for two weeks.  The surgery is Wednesday.  I'm pretty much focused on that right now.  I'm trying to be productive at work and at home, but my energy isn't great.  So I get as much done as I can. 

I sure hope the two weeks was realistic, although I can always extend that. 

The leaves are changing in Minnesota and this is a beautiful time of year.  Besides the sip, sip, walk, walk, next week after surgery, I should be able to look out the window and see the beautiful trees in our area.  Or if it's still warm, sit out on the deck sometimes.  I'm looking forward to that.
