Hi!
Feeling pretty good today.....had a bad day yesterday....lots of pain in my tummy (not incision related, more muscular), but no pain so far this morning.

Going to a new PCP today.  Some will remember the nut job of a PCP I started to go to when I moved here, I finally found a new one and of course had to wait about 6 weeks for a new patient appointment.  I hope this one is better than the quack I saw.
I think I'll ask him to do a complete blood work up.  I'd like to know all my vitamin levels.

We have to get in the garage to find the box with all my PC files...this will be a nasty chore!

Well I'm off to make some lunch and then off to the new doctor.  I hope he's a good one like my old one in NY.....cross your fingers for me..

Have a great day!

carla-when i went to tops years ago-we would starve all day before weigh in and go out to eat after the mtgs- usually wendy's tho and i would do a hugamungous salad bar...
it's a trick for the scale-and many of them are only fooling themselves-but the concept behind the program is good! accountability...and support!
you stick with what works for you!

ummmm..sweetheart-you are only 9# lower than me....ouch-don't hit me!!!!!!!!! ouch!!!!!! throwing is like hitting!!!!!!!!!!! ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Candy and OFF,
It sounds like your new job will be a nice change for you. It's nice to see retirement around the corner too. I am thinking that I'll love retirement. I have lots of plans for it already. Plus, for extra money I'll substitute as a speech therapist part time.
Speaking of TOPS- I'm in a large TOPS group too. It helps me to stay accountable to myself and to the group. I truly love most of the women there- they are mostly older than me, but we blend.
Something bad happened to me on Tuesday night- I was driving through a neighborhood where people were outside staying cool... they had some dogs out with them and one ran right under my car as I passed. It was horrible...I love dogs... I would never let my dog run around without a leash. I was so sad... so sorry. The owner just kept saying "Oh ****!" I hope a little child wasn't heartbroken.
Last night my daughter and I went to see "The Wizard of Oz" at the theatre- 70th anniversary showing. It was crowded but we got a good seat.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with a foot doctor. I'm taking the day off so I can do that and a bit of shopping and have a visit with my girlfriend.

Hiya Girl,

Sending you a big hug from me and Dillinger.   You couldn't help someone's irresponsible behavior.

I'm back ... got up later today than I wanted because I had problems sleeping too. Got home after 2 a.m. and then got to bed after 4 a.m. but had problems sleeping because of my back and knees ... same old, same old. Got up at 6:30 and took a pain pill, it hurt so much. So the next thing I know, it's 11:30 a.m. and I gotta get going to do my grocery shopping. Didn't get as much done as I wanted to do. But oh well, I sure spent enough. Got some good deals because I was able to triple up on some coupons (one item, three coupons, got it for $1 after all the coupons).

Came home, had lunch, paid my Comcast bill for two months (I'm behind), got some stuff from Netrition I've needed and now I have $50 in my wallet and $10 in checking account. Oh well, I'm on vacation next week, not going anywhere, so it's all good.

Two more days of work, then 10 days off. Can't wait.

George, I liked "The Good Wife" too. Check out 'Mercy" ... good hospital show about nurses. Tonight's "Grey's Anatomy" and "Flash Forward" ... won'****ch everything but will record the stuff and catch up over the weekend. I've given up on the White Sox.

Well, I made it down state just fine.  A State copper almost got me, but was after someone in front of me, thank goodness!  phew.
It only took me about 4 hours, and I made a stop.  Averaged 80 most of the way.
My lunch consisted of pork rinds.  Breakfast was 12 oz skim milk.  Do you think maybe that's why I'm at a stand still?  I'll have a protein shake for dinner.

It is what it is.

You are still early out, so don't sweat it. A lot of times when I'm on the road, I'll bring cheese cubes along and snack on them in the car. Easy, portable protein (or string cheese). Or a protein bar. Probably need something more for breakfast than just milk ... it is the most important meal of the day (and this is from someone who is not a breakfast person ... it's why I got hooked on AchievOne protein shakes because they had coffee in them and I could have my coffee and my protein together without doing anything ... now I'm making my own coffee/protein shake).
