Prayers for Mary
Mary has not been feeling well and went to the doctor today. She will not be going to the OH Conference. She is quarantined with Swine Flu. We have no idea where she got it. The doc has cleared me to go, saying I do not have it at this time. He gave her medication for both of us. Supposedly if I take it, I will not get the disease.
Mary is devistated. She can have no visitors for 7 days. Please pray for her.
Truthfully, we are not convinced it is Swine Flu. First off, we have been told the results of the testing for Swine Flue can take 2-3 weeks to confirm. Second, Mary thinks it is sinusitus and the PA did not even check her lungs. I am quite disappointed with that. Regardless, she feels like crap.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
George,
I'm so sorry about Mary's illness. Its probably better for her to stay home and rest any way. I know she is disappointed. Tell her my prayers are with her for a speedy recovery. I hope she has some good books to read and you may have to share the computer with her so she doesn't get too bored.
Get well soon Mary!!
Marcy
Sorry she is ill. Best that she stays home, regardless of the final diagnosis. Maybe she got it from the grandkids? Kids are little germ breeders.
Edit: I truly hope it's not swine flu, but from what I understand, it's not really harsh on us "older" folks. My friend Roxane thought she had swine flu in the summer; it turned out to be Lyme disease, low thyroid and low B-12. She's still feeling the effects, even though she's been treating. But you guys are in the breeding area for swine flu (Texas, Mexico, etc.), so everyone wants to be extra cautious. And I don't mean to put down your grandkids. I just know that whenever I spend a lot of time around kids, I seem to get sick (when I was a sportswriter, I got every cold imaginable ... flu, etc. ... I was always sick. Now that I'm not in the school system covering games, I seldom get colds ... knock on wood.)
Good luck to her. Virtual chicken soup, vitamin C, orange juice headed her way.

G A S P ! ! ! Eileen how can you call our darling, beloved children "little germ breeders" ????
Just because they have slobbery kisses and put dirty little hands on everything they touch.....
LOL LOL I love my kids and grandkids dearly but I seem to be doing a lot of surface cleaning after the little ones are gone....... This year we are using more sanitizing wipes than before even without the Grands around.

I'm glad to see the LOLs ... I thought maybe someone might take offense, so I figured I'd better edit. I was talking to someone at work who had kids and made the comment that kids were germ breeders and everyone laughed ... I told him, "But not yours, Todd, yours are sanitized." We all got a chuckle out of that. He agreed that his kids brought home lots of germs and he always was getting sick since he had kids. My niece and her husband have the same issues ... always sick with colds ever since they had the boys, because the boys are always sick.
