Thank you ALL
First I want to thank all of you. For your prayers, kind thoughts, cards, e-mails, posts, Alice's visit. I am blessed.
I am home. The pathology reports show no cancer cells in any of the tissuue Dr. Zervos removed. Thank you God!
I have the best family and friends in the entire world.
My 2 girls (daughter and daughter-in-law), went with me to appointments, sat through my surgery and the 'in and out' afterwords. Then jus****ched me sleep. Eventually my DIL had to go to commoittments with our grandson. The older grandson came to sit with his Aunt Judi and watch Gramma sleep. Lucky man. He was there to see the nurse jam a tube up my nose and down my throat.
Then it was my son's turn. He sat and sat and sat. I slept and slept and slept. I know how boring it is to sit and watch someone sleep. But I also know how wonderful it is for the sleeper to know that someone is there.
My daughter's employers sent 2 weeks of Schwan meals. A HUGE variety. All things that can be easily nuked. I won't need to cook for anyone for 2 weeks!
My DIL's co-workers sent 2 bags of supplies for me. Books, games, money, snacks, chap stick, all manner of things I can use.
I have 2 huge incisions. I go back on Oct 2 to see what Dr. Zervos plans for my following treatment. I am hoping it means no radiation. My DIL will go with me to listen with me. My son says she is going to tell on me! Why does no one believe I can just sit here and be an invalid for a few days? HMM, I can't even believe that!
My DH and I are scheduled to go to Oregon in November to babysit for 2 weeks. If we can't make that committment it will be a LARGE hardship for many people. I will not let that happen.
Thanks again to everyone. This is the best group on the net. You are all so caring and supportive! I think I'm gonna watch a little TV and take a nappy-poo in my recliner.
take care...we're here....
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

What wonderful children you have. And to get food from your daughter's employers, that's too good to be true. Does she work for Schwan's?
Hopefully you'll be strong enough to go to Oregon in November.
Take Care. Praise God.

Much love and good thoughts for your return to health and therefore your ability to go to Oregon in November.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Besides the support here (which is great), you seem to have good support there. That was really nice about your DIL's coworkers. God bless them all, and of course, you.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Be sure to get enough rest.
How nice that you had family and friends with you during this. I'm sure it was of great comfort.
Take good care.
Best wishes
