Yep, Austin Davis the Fit n Funny guy was there with his "poles". I asked him if the long PVC pipes he had at his table were a new form of exercising like pole dancing :-)
Connie Stapleton was there with her book - great speaker and good information. She has written a book about life after WLS. Her PhD is in Psychology and she has a group she leads near Atlanta.
I also sat in on Dr Clower's Mediterranean Diet session. He had some really interesting things to say about diet and how you eat, what you eat. And then he "taught us" how to eat chocolate. I'm going to look him up for sure!
and of course all the vendor tables and renewing old acquaintances and making new ones was fabulous! I always come away from these events with my personal bucket of hugs overflowing!!!

Ok, so in a nutshell.....the higher the cocoa content the better the chocolate is for you for example, Godiva Dark Chocolate. Godiva dark chocolate squares are 72% cocoa........the hersheys milk chocolate is like 20%. The higher the cocoa the lower the fat content.
Take one of those little squares - break into fourths - put one fourth on your tongue and let it melt - don't chew/suck the fourth just let it melt and enjoy the flavor and sensation. Make those 4 little pieces last a really long time.
The idea behind all that is you have taste buds on your tongue but if you fill your mouth with too big a bite, some of it never makes it to the taste buds. So, take really small bites and savor all of the flavors.
BTW, chocolate melts at 90 degrees farenheit - and it was a most sensual experience!
