Good afternoon Everyone,

Carla you seem to have lots of migraines sweetie, hope this one passes quickly. . .

Pat, a sty, OMG, I have not had one of them since I was a kid and glad I am too, hope yours goes away without too much problem. . .

I had a busy morning here, had to get all the time entered in for one of the people I work for, she had a busy month and so had to enter in 3 weeks worth by noon, just barely made it and that's with 2 people helping me. . .  then lunch and here it is day is mostly over, so I am taking privileges and coming to visit you all.

Tonight I am going to dinner at mine and Owen's favorite Japanese restaurant and from there to our homegroup AA meeting.  After all that, it will be home to my sweet Dillinger to snuggle; thank goodness he is still here to keep me warm on nights like this, I am not ready to turn the heater on.

Margo, there are a great many folks that have gone into "retirement" from our board, I guess that's the way it goes, hopefully, they are all doing well.

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts to all, Laureen

Hey Carla,

Hope by now you're feeling better. There have been lots of folks with migraines lately. Maybe the change in weather/?  Who knows?

I'm trying very hard NOT to get a cold. But, if I do, better now than in two weeks when the sister in laws are here. Still, painting trim when I feel like I do is NO fun. Not that I enjoy it when I'm feeling great, but you know what I mean.

Okay, off to tape off more panes on the French doors. What a pain the panes are!

Busy board today - that's nice to see. Sunshine

My friend Angela and I go out to lunch every Thursday - we have done this for years. We were talking about the upcoming bariatric seminar. She said they should have "friends" of WLS people address how this surgery impacts their lives too.

She never complained that I couldn't fit in a booth or walk very far. But she appreciates the positive changes.

i think that is an excellent idea!!!!!

both positives and negatives occur in friendships as well as with spouses etc....and should be talke dabout in a polite non bashing forum....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

So true. Good ones are hard to find  and good to keep.

It is a good idea. I think about going to the St. Louis arch ... I would never have been able to go up in those tiny cars pre-WLS.

I know my friend Rox never complained about my limitations when I was obese, but would always hang back with me (well, I still can't walk fast or far ... and now, neither can she after Lyme disease). But she never put me down for my obesity and always stuck with me through all my diets. She was the one who pushed me toward WLS. So I give her credit for that.

We have been fortunate to find good friends. I couldn't have done this alone.
