First Calm Down, I know it's easier said then done, but, getting yourself upset at this is n NOT going to help and 2nd, take at look at what you have just done. You have lost
87 lbs in 26 weeks. That is amazing. Have you ever done that before. Your body has
to catch up to the fact that you are not starving it & the massive amount of weight you have lost. You are not done, you will start losing again. Just do not panic. Do you weigh everyday. If so, stop. You are becoming addicted to that scale. It will be a downer for sure. Try going every other day or even once a week.
Give us some kind of look at what you are eating in a day & how much. Are you taking vitimins & not drinking with your meals. That sort of thing. & maybe we can help
more. Everyone is different, but low-carb wroks best for me. Maybe it's just that you
are eating the wrong kinds of foods & not aware that they are wrong. Protein first should always be the rule.
I guess I should ask did you have RNY? Are you keeping track of everything you eat & drink. When you do that & take a look at ti, you see where you can adjust to do things better.
Yes, depression can & will cause your head to start spinning. Are you on anything?
If not talk with your Doctor about getting on some anxeity type stuff.
I hope some of this helps. I am not yelling at your, just trying to have you not panic &
look at things a little differently, I am 6 yrs out & know full well what you are thinkging.
The more you panic the worse you will make it. You can e-mail me off board if I can be of any further help.

This is not at all unusual. Our bodies get freaked out when we have lost so much in such a short time. Often when the scale shows no loss our bodies are still sliming down. Do you take your measurements? How are your clothes fitting. Don't worry too much. Work the plan and it will work.
If you are eating and drinking properly the scale will start to move soon.

Do you journal? put down on paper everything that passes thru the teeth. What time of day, how you felt when you ate it. You may or may not see a pattern....

Been stuck at 200 for three weeks............................
ready to flip out, I went to my pcp for routine blood work check and by time I had breakfast, drank some water and put on some clothes I was 204, I wanted to scream
I have noticed though that all of a sudden my legs have became like venetian blinds ( not a pretty image) I have gone from a size 30 ( very loose) last summer to size 16 jeans last week and yes they are getting baggy.
I have lost 69 pounds since surgery and 99 since I started this journey last year. I WANT THAT 100 officially at my pcp) I find a pattern of stalls and then sudden drops.
Since fall is here now I find drinking water hard and have consciously tried to push myself to drink decaf tea and cofee as well as plain water.
Hopefully this is all this is.

Stalls are a very common part of this and much of what I would respond to this has already been done, so please listen to what's been said and don't put so much emphasis on the scale, as to focus on how much better you may be feeling physically by having lost an incredible amount of weight! Hope you've been measuring yourself, because as I tell people all the time, when I was in a stall and I had one that last 9 weeks, the measurements were changing, however, I don't recommend measuring more than every 3 to 4 weeks. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Hi Renee,
You must step back and take a look at how much you have accomplished to date. You should be so very proud of yourself. It sounds like your doing everything that you should be. I have been stalled since May 7. Talk about a long time. I have tried varying different things but nothing seems to work for me. I drink 64 oz. of water each day. I haven't been able to use my pedal exerciser because my spinal cord stimulator stopped working and the morphine in my Intrathecal pump doesn't help anymore either. I've been in a lot of pain but I try not to let that get me down.
Maybe if you try switching up your exercise routine that may help. What kind of exercise are you getting? I was driving myself crazy because I tried to follow what everyone else was saying to do such as; stay away from carbs, eat 80-90g of protein each day, watch your fat content, etc......But this wasn't getting me anywhere. I had a talk with Dr. C. and she put it simply as; "Calories in, Calories out!".....get your protein in each day 60-70g, track what you’re eating, try to stay around 1,000 calories a day, and get 20 minutes of exercise 5 times a week. Even if I can only do 10 minutes on the pedal exerciser at a time, then do it in the morning and whenever else I can fit it in but stay consistent. Even though the scale hasn't moved, I have lost inches. I weigh myself every week at the same time (first thing in the morning) wearing the same thing and track my progress. I also measure myself "once" a month in which I always see some type of improvement.
Stay strong my friend, you will see the pounds going down again before you know it.
